Dr. Adam Ringler grew up in Sullivan, Ohio, but came down to Miami 11 years ago to complete his residency. Once here, Dr. Ringler enjoyed working at Palmetto General Hospital and learning Spanish so much that he decided to stay in South Florida. Ringler now practices with Dr. Gary Keller close to Hialeah Hospital, often treating patients who have hurt their feet or ankles while on the job, or those who have a foot or ankle accident at any time. “My practice is focused on getting people well and back to work, so that we can minimize the time they are out of commission,” Dr. Ringler says. Dr. Ringler attended Ashland University in Ohio for his undergraduate studies. He then went to the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, which is now part of Kent State University’s graduate programs. Dr. Caitlan Clancy, earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then returned home to Florida, where she completed an extensive three-year foot and ankle reconstructive surgical residency at JFK Medical Center in Palm Beach County. During her final year of training, she completed additional surgical courses in the fields of trauma, arthroscopy and total ankle joint replacement while serving as chief resident.

Dr. Clancy is double board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. While working as a member of PGA of America, Dr. Clancy graduated with honors from St. Thomas of Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He remained in Pennsylvania to earn his podiatric medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Relocating to Maryland, Dr. Clancy completed his foot and ankle surgery residency through the Maryland Podiatric Surgical Residency Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital. 

He is experienced and trained on the latest advances in nerve repair, receiving education directly from one of the world’s most renowned surgeons at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Clancy was one of the few podiatric surgeons to be trained on the newest FDA-approved total ankle joint replacement. John Levin, DPM, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon at Orthopedic Center of Palm Beach County, with locations in Atlantis, Boynton Beach, and Wellington, Florida. 

Dr. Levin, a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, attended Michigan State University. In 1986, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Podiatric Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. In 1988, he completed a surgical residency in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at Doctors Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Since completing his residency education, Dr. Levin has limited his practice to reconstructive ankle and foot surgery, specializing in the minimally invasive treatment of complex disorders of the lower extremity. With over 30 years of surgical experience, Dr. Levin is considered one of the most renowned doctors in his field.

Dr. Levin has extensive experience in Foot and Ankle arthroscopy, minimally invasive endoscopy, and regenerative medicine techniques, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP), stem cell therapy, and Amniotic Tissue therapy. As a child, Dr. Michelle Detweiler had a series of foot problems and was assisted by the help of a podiatrist in Philadelphia. These visits to the podiatrist sparked her interest in the field and led her to eventually apply to podiatry school. She has now been practicing as a podiatrist in the Miami Beach area for 20 years. “Podiatry appeals to me because you are often able to make patients feel better on their first visit,” Dr. Detweiler says. Dr. Detweiler graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia and then headed south to Miami to attend Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine. Once she graduated, Dr. Detweiler did a podiatric surgical residency in Allentown, Pennsylvania and then returned to Miami to start practicing. A Miami native, Dr. Gary Keller has always been interested in sports. While in college at Florida International University, Keller was injured playing intramural softball and met a podiatrist who treated him several times. He remembered the visit for a long time, and after working as a biomedical scientist, Keller decided to pursue his goal to become a podiatrist. Yet, Keller still maintains a passion for sports medicine and for treating trauma injuries to the lower extremities, he says. He likes this type of podiatry because each case is a new challenge. “To get the (athletes) back into professional shape – that’s not easy sometimes,” he says.
