Dr. Brett Sachs studied biology at the University of Maryland and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Sachs completed his foot and ankle surgical residency at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, followed by an orthopedic trauma residency at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. Dr. Sachs is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Sachs is Vice President at Rocky Mountain Foot & Ankle Center. Dr. Sachs specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopy, trauma, total ankle replacement, and sports medicine. Dr. Sachs is a nationally recognized lecturer and instructor of surgical skills workshops. She graduated from Siena Heights University with honors and a BS in Biology. After college, she attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM) in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from KSUCPM with honors, an appointment into the Pi Delta National Honor Society, and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. Dr. Coe then went on to complete a three year surgical residency at Mercy Health Regional Medical Center/Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.

Dr. Kruse earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Master’s degree in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, before attending the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at the Highlands/Presbyterian–St. Luke’s program in Denver, CO.

Deeply committed to education, Dr. Kruse serves as an attending physician for the Highlands/Presbyterian–St. Luke’s residency, where he also sits on the Residency Committee and previously served as Research Director.

Dr. Kruse is dedicated to advancing the podiatric profession on a national and regional level. He serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a past President of the Colorado Foot and Ankle Society. Board-certified podiatrist Matthew Hinderland, DPM, brings more than a decade of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of both common and complex foot and ankle problems to the Foot and Ankle Institute of Colorado, serving men, women, and families in and around Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Dr. Hinderland spent his childhood in several states, including Arizona, California, and Pennsylvania. He began his professional pursuits at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

He subsequently enrolled at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Hinderland completed a three-year surgical and podiatry residency at Highlands/Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He also spent several years practicing at the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in Rockville, Maryland, performing the group’s first-ever total ankle replacements.

Dr. Hinderland founded Foot and Ankle Institute of Colorado in 2015. He enjoys helping his patients find relief from foot and ankle pain and works to educate the individuals in his care about maintaining excellent foot and ankle health. 

Dr. Hinderland is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery along with foot surgery. Dr. Cameron completed a surgical residency at the Florida Hospital East Orlando residency program. During this time, he received extensive training and experience in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma, and sports medicine. He also trained in using implants and fusion surgery to treat end-stage arthritis.

At the Foot and Ankle Institute of Colorado, Dr. Cameron loves helping ease his patient’s pain, allowing them to participate in their favorite activities. He offers a variety of safe, effective treatments that improve mobility, ease inflammation, and encourage healthier lifestyles.

Podiatrist Daniel Mallett, DPM, has years of experience providing comprehensive pain relief and foot care. He is proud to serve patients at Front Range Foot and Ankle Clinic in Parker, Colorado.

Dr. Mallett received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. He then earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (formerly the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine) in Independence, Ohio.

Afterward, he completed his podiatry residency at Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. He is affiliated with Parker Adventist Hospital and Crown Point Surgery Center, both in Parker, Colorado.

Dr. Emily Opp is a surgically trained foot and ankle specialist who is passionate about helping people optimize their health by treating all conditions of the lower extremity. Dr. Opp is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is accomplished in both forefoot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. Dr. Opp graduated from Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery, and completed her surgical residency at Intermountain Medical Center in Utah, where she was also appointed Chief Resident.

Although Dr. Opp has extensive surgical training, her number one priority is to address her patients’ conditions through a collaborative, evidence-based approach, where all conservative options are implemented prior to invasive modalities. Patient education is extremely important to Dr. Opp, and she prides herself in first educating her patients on current medical literature to then guide any decisions on treatment. Dr. Opp believes in comprehensive care that incorporates all facets of her patient's health in order to best treat the presenting problem.
