Jose F. Hilario, DPM, PA, is an esteemed podiatrist who serves the community of Converse, Live Oak, Schertz, and the surrounding San Antonio Area. Dr. Hilario offers conservative and surgical treatment options for numerous foot and ankle problems.
Dr. Hilario grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated from Southwest High School in 1988. He then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Hilario is fluent in Spanish.
After attending the Master of Science degree in Neuroscience program from the same university, he followed his dream to become a podiatrist in 2002. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, a branch of Finch University in Chicago, Illinois.
Continuing his desire to provide specialized podiatric care, Dr. Hilario completed an extensive 3 year surgical residency at the North Chicago Department of Veterans Affairs and Saint Joseph's Hospital where he was co-chief resident. While receiving extensive training in various foot and ankle conditions and surgical procedures, Dr. Hilario treated patients in the Chicago, Illinois area. There he gained both experience and compassion in the area of podiatry.
Dr. Hilario began his practice in Laredo, Texas moving back to San Antonio in 2009 after a tragic loss of his niece to be close to his sister and family. Dr. Hilario ran the Podiatry section at Laredo Medical Center Hyperbaric Wound Care Center for three years and served at the Christus Santa Rosa Wound Care Center in the Medical Center of San Antonio.
In 2011, he opened his practice to provide the residents of Converse, Texas, a place to seek specialized care. He and his team take the time to get to know their patients and to provide personalized and responsible treatment. He helps patients with health conditions such as acute and chronic heel pain, tendinitis, neuromas, diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and other ulcers caused by burns and/or trauma due to his extensive experience and knowledge.
Dr. Hilario was the head of podiatry at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas, and has worked as a member of the Christus Santa Rosa Wound Care Center. He currently works closely with The North East Baptist Hospital team to help patients with severe wounds at this facility through both conservative and surgical measures. He truly has a passion for podiatry and strives to treat every patient as he would his own family.
Kris Ford, DPM, is a podiatrist who brings more than a decade of experience to South Alamo Foot & Ankle, serving people of all ages in San Antonio, Texas, and throughout Bexar County.
Dr. Ford was born and raised in Beeville, Texas. He began his upper-level educational pursuits at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he earned his undergraduate degree. Following graduation, Dr. Ford enrolled at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Ford completed a three-year residency program in foot and ankle surgery at the Carl T. Hayden Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Ford enjoys getting to know the people in his care. He takes the time to understand their symptoms and goals and develops custom treatment plans that ease his patients’ pain and encourage mobility.

Jonathan Lorenzana, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at South Alamo Foot & Ankle, serving people of all ages in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas, and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Lorenzana, who was born and raised in San Antonio, began his college-level education at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where he earned his Bachelor of Science.
Following graduation, Dr. Lorenzana married his high school sweetheart and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. He enrolled at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, obtained his medical degree, and graduated with honors.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Lorenzana completed a three-year surgical residency program at Texas A&M Health Science Center in Bryan, Texas. He thrived in the program and served as chief resident his final year.
Dr. Lorenzana is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. As a podiatrist, he has special interests in the forefoot and reconstructive rearfoot surgery.
When he isn’t meeting with patients or developing treatment plans, Dr. Lorenzana enjoys family time with his wife and their three children. He’s also into physical fitness and holds a third-degree black belt in the Korean martial art of Kung Jung Mu Sul.
