Alaa N. Mansour, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and surgeon at Gentle Foot and Ankle Care in Madison Heights, Michigan.

Dr. Mansour is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Mansour earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Illinois and attended medical school at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine. He then completed his surgical residency at Beaumont Hospital where he served as chief resident. Brenda Carnaghi, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and surgeon with over 17 years of experience serving patients at Gentle Foot and Ankle Care in Troy, Michigan. Dr. Carnaghi is a Michigan native originally from St. Clair Shores. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as a master’s in clinical/community health education from Wayne State University. She then earned her medical degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Carnaghi went on to complete an extensive three-year surgical residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Marc E. Sher, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified general surgeon and colorectal surgeon on a team of providers at Progressive Surgical Care in Manhasset Hills, in New Hyde Park, in the Lindenwood area and Howard Beach, New York. Dr. Sher’s passion is surgery and particularly, colon and rectal surgery.

He served as president of the most prestigious surgical society in the country, “The New York Surgical Society” as well as the New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.  His group offers specialized care in the treatment of general and colorectal surgical issues in Nassau and Queens county.

Dr. Sher is a New York City native who was born in Brooklyn and raised in Oceanside. He left New York to complete his undergraduate education at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and returned to earn his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 1990.

He completed an internship and his chief residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens in 1995 and finished his training with a clinical fellowship in colorectal surgery under the supervision of Dr. Steven Wexner at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, campus of the prestigious Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Sher is highly respected both nationally and internationally, with certifications by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is an experienced laparoscopic surgeon performing in the top percentile of New York State. He’s also an active researcher in his field, authoring numerous articles, book chapters in respected publications such as “Annals of Surgery” and “Diseases of the Colon and Rectum.”

Dr. Sher is the leader and originator of the ever expanding practice, Progressive Surgical Care, which he solely formed in 1999. He is the acting surgical director of the Quad A New York State approved facility in New Hyde Park, New York.

Steven Schulberg, DO, is a board-certified surgeon who is part of the team at Progressive Surgical Care which has New York offices in Forest Hills, New Hyde Park, Long Island, and Howard Beach, Queens. He specializes in minimally invasive general and colorectal surgery.

Dr. Schulberg was born and raised in New York. He attended Binghamton University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2016.

He went on to complete his general surgery residency at NYU Langone Health – Brooklyn, where he graduated as chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Schulberg completed a fellowship in minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas Houston, McGovern Medical School, one of the highest volume robotic colorectal surgery programs in the nation. While in Houston, he received advanced training and additional certification in minimally invasive robotic surgical techniques.

Dr. Schulberg is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented at both national and international surgical conferences. He is a member of SAGES, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons. Violette Alsaka DNP, FNP-C is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Dermatology. She earned both her Master’s and Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. There she was also inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Following the completion of her doctoral training, Violette pursued a highly competitive dermatology fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. There, she received comprehensive, advanced training in the diagnosis and management of complex dermatologic conditions while working alongside leading experts in the field. During her fellowship, she received the Johnson & Johnson Early Career Development Award, recognizing her academic achievement and commitment to advancing the field of dermatology. Adam Ramin, MD, is board certified in urology, with sub-specialization in Urological Oncology and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Berman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from SUNY University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. He earned his medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina in Guadalajara, Mexico. 

He continues to research and stay on top of new advancements in his general surgery practice to achieve the best possible outcome for patients.

About Dr. Taylor

Robert Taylor, MD, is an expert in the management of cerebrovascular disorders. At Link Integrated Healthcare in Oxnard, Camarillo, and Santa Baraba, California, he practices neurointerventional surgery, neurocritical care, and vascular neurology.  

Dr. Taylor has previously served as director to the Vascular Neurology Fellowship and site director to the Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota/Fairview Hospital and the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. He was recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America® in 2013 and America’s Best Doctors® in 2021.  

Dr. Taylor He is a member of the American Stroke Association (ASA), the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the Neurocritical Care Society (NCS), a senior member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery (SNIS), and a founding member of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN).  

Dr. Taylor has published and given numerous lectures on the latest treatments of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and neuroendovascular techniques and protocols.

About Dr. Xenophontos

Xenophon P. Xenophontos, MD, FACS, FSVS, is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon and founder of a state-of-the-art adult vascular medicine practice in Garden City, New York, in Nassau County. Dr. Xenophontos is dual board-certified in general and vascular surgery.

Dr. Xenophontos began his journey to his medical career as an undergraduate student at The City College of New York in New York City, where he graduated with distinction. Dr. Xenophontos earned his medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He rounded out his postdoctoral training with a surgery residency followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York. 

Dr. Xenophontos, who is fluent in English and Greek, is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the board of directors of the Brooklyn and Long Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He is also an active member of numerous medical societies, including the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Nassau County Medical Society.

When he’s not helping patients, Dr. Xenophontos enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters.
