I'm Dr. Sarah Waterman, a board-certified general surgeon with a breast-focused practice and the founder of Green Mountain Breast Care Center. Michael Renfrow, MD, FACS, brings more than 17 years of experience in general surgery to South Florida Surgical Group in Miami, Florida, serving men, women, and teens throughout Miami-Dade County.

Dr. Michael Renfrow is a board certified general surgeon, with fellowship specialization in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

He currently serves as the Chief of General Surgery, at Baptist Hospital, in Miami, Florida. Dr. Renfrow graduated, with honors, from the University of Florida. Dr. Renfrow is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He has presented at numerous academic conferences and symposiums throughout the country.  He has served as a consultant for Intuitive Surgical Inc., where he has proctored surgeons that were in the process of learning robotic surgery. He also volunteers his time at the University of Miami, training and proctoring surgical residents in robotic procedures.

Robert Lewis, MD, FACS, is a partner at the Colon and Rectal Surgeons of Greater Hartford, the largest dedicated colon and rectal surgery group in New England, with offices in Bloomfield and South Windsor, Connecticut. Dr. Lewis earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He is the program director of the fellowship training program in colon and rectal surgery at Saint Francis Hospital, the only advanced training program of its kind in Connecticut, and the director of the surgical rotation at the Eastern Connecticut Health Network’s family medicine residency.

Vasili Karas, MD, MS, is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and rapid recovery hip and knee replacements, as well as complex revision joint surgeries. A Chicagoland native with the goal of giving back to his community, Dr. Karas earned his medical degree at Rush University’s Medical College in Chicago. He then went to North Carolina to complete his residency training at Duke University Medical Center. After that, he returned to Chicago to finish his fellowship training in hip and knee replacement surgery at Rush University Medical Center.
