I had another visit to Dr Karas for increased knee pain while waiting for my 1st Hip Surgery due in about 2 months. I’m always so pleased by the warmth and caring from the entire staff. From check in to the kindness of the Xray Show moretechnician who was very patient and helpful as I struggled with pain from hip to ankle to be able to position my knee X-rays. Short wait followed to be seen by Dr Karas and his staff. I was told that this relatively new pain in my R Knee was due to my hip issue and would be relieved once I had surgery. I was so grateful to find out I wouldn’t need knee surgery after my 2 hip replacements. I was immediately given an injection in that knee and prescribed an anti inflammatory medication which has substantially reduced my pain. As always I am encouraged that I am in great hands. I need to add how quickly and the genuine concern I receive every time I call or email Dr Karas’ office from his PA’s especially Alexis. Counting down to surgery. Will follow up post surgery
As an extremely active 65 year old female who does HIIT classes, plays tennis and pickleball it was shocking to suddenly in one day be unable to do these things. Dr. Verma at Midwest Orthopedics at RUSH 18 years ago fixed my torn Show moreACL off the bone and I returned to full activities then after a short rehab and came back stronger than before. Dr. Karas reassured me that I could now do the same with my knee replacement. My surgery was a little more complicated having had a previous knee surgery and more arthritis but I was so excited to be able to walk basically unassisted immediately! The knee feels so smooth and glides so nicely… I am just a little more than 3 weeks post surgery and can not wait to see what I can do 6 months from now. Dr Karas is a wonderful doctor who really listens, communicates well and gives great advice to his patients! Please set up an appointment with him if you need a knee replacement as he is a superb surgeon! Also, his entire team is fantastic as well.

I was content Alexa and Dr. Karas evaluation of my right 2 1/2 weeks post surgery. They answered all of my questions. The only negative is that I had to wait 1/2 hour for a nurse to remove my stitches. It must have a busy day for the nurse.
Very hands-on with you! I’m extremely happy with the outcome of my surgery. I would recommend to every patient to have two months of PT before surgery. I only use my walker for five days and didn’t use anything else after that.
Kind, compassionate, caring and professional. I felt surrounded by focused and interested staff who were genuinely interested in my well-being .
Great very professional
Very satisfied with the service from the front desk to the doctors visit. Doctor explained everything very thorough and also his assistant Would highly recommend
Great!
Excellent!!
My appointment was on time I couldn’t believe how efficient the service was. X-rays were fast and done immediately after I arrived. I then proceeded to an office where Dr Karas assistant spoke to me and went over the X-rays with me. Deanna was very professional and explained everything so I was able to understand it. I was amazed at how efficiently every thing went. I received two injections and went home feeling great. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to see Dr Karas I feel like a new person and my hip and knee feel great. I would highly recommend Dr Karas and his staff to anyone.
Very personable. Knowledgeable, and addressed my concerns well.
Dr. Karas had been working to keep me living my best life. After replacing my first knee replacement he is now working with me on my other knee. Making sure surgery is the last possible solution while providing options as I recover from a torn meniscus.
Amable ,cordial y muy profesional con todo su equipo ,

Dr Karas is very professional but very compassionate. It’s obvious he truly cares about his patients. I was very anxious to meet him but he answered all my concerns and I know I’ll be in Good hands for my knee surgery. His nurse Alexis is so kind and put me at ease. I’m excited to have the surgery now.
Dr. Karas was very up front with me when it came to my concerns with my knees. He wasn’t afraid to give suggestions, instead of just going for surgery. His PA was awesome and took the time not only to examine the condition of my knees, but to explain why I am feeling the pains I’m feeling. It was an extremely comfortable experience.
Dr. Karas and staff are very capable and thorough. My results from total hip replacement were nothing short of a miracle.
