I had another visit to Dr Karas for increased knee pain while waiting for my 1st Hip Surgery due in about 2 months. I’m always so pleased by the warmth and caring from the entire staff. From check in to the kindness of the Xray Show moretechnician who was very patient and helpful as I struggled with pain from hip to ankle to be able to position my knee X-rays. Short wait followed to be seen by Dr Karas and his staff. I was told that this relatively new pain in my R Knee was due to my hip issue and would be relieved once I had surgery. I was so grateful to find out I wouldn’t need knee surgery after my 2 hip replacements. I was immediately given an injection in that knee and prescribed an anti inflammatory medication which has substantially reduced my pain. As always I am encouraged that I am in great hands. I need to add how quickly and the genuine concern I receive every time I call or email Dr Karas’ office from his PA’s especially Alexis. Counting down to surgery. Will follow up post surgery
There Doctor was very polite with me and available to answer any questions I had. I was very impressed with the staffs concerns of mine and their ability of taking the time to explain to me in detail what I should know entering anShow mored my post operations responsibilities and course of rehab. I have always been treated with the upmost respect with everyone at Midwest orthopedics.

Dr Karas is the best
Professional
The whole staff is absolutely amazing! I had a total right knee replacement and have to also do my left knee as well. From start to finish it went well . I highly recommend Dr. Karas and his team
This was my first meeting with Dr. Kara’s. He was very welcoming and made me feel very relaxed. He lived up to the positive things I had heard about him from other people. He answered my questions without making me feel rushed. I left the appointment feeling confident that I was right in choosing him to do my surgery.
Everyone was nice, polite, and professional.
Went to see Dr. Karas for consultation on hip replacement. His staff is very friendly, answers all your questions, discusses all options, and their professionalism is top notch. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Good
Excellent surgeon, first rate PA and outstanding team
Dr. Kara’s was compassionate and empathetic. He listened well and recommended realistic options and explained what was happening with my left knee. I trust him.
Excellent care and Doctor
The Xray tech did not tell me to hand in the sheet of paper so I waited in the waiting room for an hour and a half for my appointment. When the doctor came in, he was very very quick because I was an hour and a half late for my appointment!?

Had both knees done and everything went very smoothly. 5 stars
Excellent experience with first knee replacement, getting other knee replacement 6mo later.
Dr. Karas was both extremely personable and professional and he has a warm demeanor. He answered all my questions and more. Felt very reassured with his advice and recommendations. Office staff was equally friendly, professional and efficient. One of the best medical interactions I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing (and I’ve had numerous).
Phenomenal. Everyone was nice and respectful and got and gave a lot of knowledge.
Dr. Kara's and his team are amazing. The journey to replace both knees, the pre op and post op care is top notch. I live 180 miles away and know the care I have received gave me my life back without pain. If I had any questions, or concerns, his team responded within an hour or so and was always there for me.
Efficient and informative.
Excellent as always
Dr. Karas is Extremely professional and fully attentive to his patients needs and concerns. His staff’s follow up and immediate attention to my phone calls and concerns is excellent and thorough.
Oh my gosh! My worries dissipated after meeting this clearly committed surgeon.
I recently had an appointment with Dr. K regarding nerve pain that I've been experiencing since my knee replacement surgery about 5 years ago. While I appreciate the effort of the medical team, I felt that the experience left much to be desired, particularly in terms of communication and care. The appointment felt rushed, and I was disappointed by the lack of explanation regarding the issue with my knee. Dr. K spent more time explaining the situation to a resident rather than to me, which left me feeling uncertain about my condition. Additionally, the treatment recommendation was given with little to no explanation—simply stating that it would take 45 minutes without elaborating on what exactly would be done or why it was necessary. I understand that the medical team is busy, but as the surgeon who performed my knee replacement, I believe Dr. K should have taken the time to explain what was going on with my knee and the treatment being recommended. I would have appreciated more clarity and a thorough discussion of my options. I do want to note that the Physician Assistant (PA) in the room was more attentive and engaged, which I appreciated. Dr. K was pleasant. As a patient, you can feel when someone is in a hurry. However, it was the surgeon I was hoping to hear from directly regarding my treatment plan.
