Dr. Azad came to the practice in 2018 from the Cleveland Clinic located in Weston, Florida. A native of Freeport, Long Island, New York, Kenneth Webb Plunkitt moved to Florida while in his teens. He graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1993 and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency and General Cardiology fellowship at the University of South Florida-affiliated hospitals and clinics in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Plunkitt accepted a two-year fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology with the Jefferson University program at the Lankenau campus in the Mainline, Philadelphia. This intensive training experience included all aspects of cardiac arrhythmia management including pharmacologic management of cardiac arrhythmias, ablation techniques, pacemaker, and defibrillator implantation as well as laser lead extraction.

Following his training, Dr. Plunkitt returned to Florida in 2001 to establish a private practice explicitly limited to Cardiac Electrophysiology. He then founded Naples Heart Rhythm Specialists, P.A. in 2007 and quickly accomplished his goal of creating a center of excellence for Cardiac Electrophysiology in southwest Florida. He attended New York University as an undergraduate and graduated from Georgetown University Medical School. Dr. Wasserman went on to his Internal Medicine training at the Brown University Medical School Internal Medicine program and completed it at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then accepted a cardiology fellowship at The Likoff Cardiovascular Institute-Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Wasserman was a cardiologist in the same private practice, non-invasive cardiology group in Syracuse for more than 35 years. Upon arrival to Naples, he briefly joined the NCH Physicians Group/Naples Heart Institute before his return to private practice as a non-invasive consultative cardiologist with this group.

Dr. Wasserman is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians as well as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Wasserman has been married for 43 years. He and his wife have four sons and eight grandchildren.

Dr. Catherine Law is a noninvasive cardiologist who is proud to join the Naples Heart Rhythm Specialists team based in Naples, Florida. She has special clinical interests in heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, women’s cardiovascular health, and especially preventative cardiovascular disease. Dr. Law performs TEE, cardioversions, and interprets echocardiogram and stress tests.

Dr. Law is deeply committed to patient education and believes that the foundation of excellent outcomes begins with helping patients fully understand their condition, treatment plan, and the importance of medication adherence. Dr. Rajagopal Reddy joined our practice after relocating from Chicago where he most recently worked at Ascension Hospital and Saint Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Director of Critical Care. He received his post graduate training in Chicago at Grant Hospital and Illinois Masonic Medical Center after moving to the United States from India after medical school.

Dr. Reddy is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology, and Critical Care Medicine. He has particular interest in coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension and arrhythmias.

He lives in Naples with his wife. In his free time, Dr. Reddy enjoys spending time with family and friends and golfing.

Andrew Yin, MD, joined Naples Heart Rhythm Specialists, P.A., in 2013 and became a partner in 2017. He welcomes patients needing cardiac care at three offices in Naples, Florida. Dr. Yin has extensive experience in all aspects of cardiovascular disease, with specialization in the full range of heart arrhythmias.

Dr. Yin earned his undergraduate degree in molecular biology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After relocating to New York City, he spent two years studying the natural progression of valvular heart disease and received his medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York.

He continued his education at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he completed his residency and two fellowships: one in general cardiology and the other in cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Diana Miranda received her postgraduate training at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. Prior to that she trained at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago where she was the Internal Medicine Chief Resident from 2018-2019. She graduated from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Columbia in 2009.

She is a highly trained physician specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. She has particular interest in advanced heart failure, cardiac amyloidosis, coronary artery disease and dyslipidemia. She is currently a Clinical Instructor of Cardiology at the Ross University School of Medicine.

Dr. Miranda is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and Board Eligible in Adult Cardiovascular Disease. She is bilingual, native Spanish speaking.

Dr. Baily has joined us from Pinnacle Health Cardiovascular Institute located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois where he originally met and trained under Dr. Talano.  Dr. Baily completed his Residency and Fellowship, Research Fellowship and Chief Fellowship training at Penn State University Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania and his teaching appointments include the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State University Hospital.

After completing his training he was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology and has published several peer reviewed articles in the field of integrative physiology during his tenure at the Pennsylvania State University Hospital.  He later served as the Chief of Cardiology, Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania for more than a decade and was also elected Chairman of the Medical Executive Board for Holy Spirit Hospital.

Mario Lopez, MD, F.A.C.C. began practicing as a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist after receiving the highest caliber medical training and education. For the last 35 years, Dr. Lopez has dedicated his life to Charlotte County residents by providing exceptional and compassionate care to every patient he’s come to know and love. In doing so, he has had the opportunity to save and touch countless lives. Although he has stepped away from interventional procedures, he remains dedicated to providing all your general cardiology needs with the ability to access any additional resources necessary.

Kristin was born and raised here in Charlotte County. She graduated with honors from Florida Gulf Coast University with her BSN. After 14 years of multifaceted nursing, including emergency, trauma, ICU, maternal/child, and more, Kristin made the decision to move forward in her career by obtaining her dual certified Masters Degree with honors in Adult Gerontology and Acute Care from University of South Florida. She has now specialized in Cardiology for nearly 8 years.

Alexandra was born in Germany and moved to Port Charlotte in 1981 at the age of 12. She attended Port Charlotte Middle and High School before graduating and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1993. She has advanced her nursing degrees over the years while working and raising her four children in Charlotte County. She has spent the majority of her nursing career, over 20 years, in ICU, before decided to further her education again and obtained her. Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree from Grand Canyon University in 2018. She is board certified and has specialized in Cardiology since graduation.
