The story of RiNo Dental in Denver, Colorado, starts in 1978, when Bryant Franz, DDS, MBA, then a precocious young man, was born in Fort Collins. He grew up in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains, and he achieved his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Colorado State University. He also attended Loyola Marymount University, where he earned his MBA in Information Systems. He lived in Hollywood for six years, working in finance for a decade before he decided that what he truly wanted to do was become a dentist. That led him to the Colorado School of Dental Medicine, which he graduated from with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Today, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Society. Dr. Franz is also an Invisalign Silver Service Provider.
Dr. Franz has a classic ‘Maker’ personality – he loves to create things that influence and enhance his physical surroundings, which is why he became so focused on dentistry. People notice someone’s teeth second only to their eyes, and he can help patients both achieve and maintain a beautiful smile through his work.
Dr. Franz also loves being surrounded by great music, art, and design. He is happier and better in every way when he feels relaxed and comfortable, and music and art help him achieve that. That’s why a killer little neighborhood known as River North caught his eye when he was trying to figure out the location of his practice. He feels strongly that his needs and values align with this neighborhood, and his practice is a place where he can do his best work and keep his feelings soothed and happy.
Dr. Franz doesn’t expect anyone to look forward to their dental visit, but he also definitely doesn’t want anyone to feel miserable about the prospect of coming to RiNo Dental. When did dentistry become a dreaded, stuffy event with boring doctors and ugly office furnishings, anyway? He believes that you deserve services that align with your lifestyle, and that includes medical care. He also believes in being a good member of the community and getting involved in all the events that make it a special place to be. Today, Dr. Franz is happy to have a little family with his Bull Terrier named Miley Cyrus and his Cat named Desmond Winston Manchester XI. His hobbies outside of the office include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, real estate, architecture, and interior design. He’s also a big travel buff and has been to over 20 countries so far in his life.

Dr. Nick DeVillier brings a thoughtful and compassionate approach to dentistry, rooted in his small-town upbringing anddriven by a genuine desire to make a difference. Originally from Nederland,Texas, Dr. Nick first discovered the power of dentistry after overcoming his own dental challenges as a kid. That experience sparked a lifelong passion forhelping others feel confident in their smiles.
Dr. Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a Minor in Business from the University of Texas at Austin before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas. He then made his way to Colorado,where he’s now proud to serve the Denver community with advanced dental care and a down-to-earth demeanor.
Dr. Nick’s approach to dentistry is all about restoring comfort and confidence. He offers a wide range of services from cosmetic smile makeovers and clear aligner therapy to oral surgery and family dentistry, tailoring each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of his patients.
He’s especially known for his ability to put anxious patients at ease and make dental visits feel less intimidating.Whether he’s providing preventive care or full-mouth rehabilitation, Dr. Nick always takes the time to listen, educate, and collaborate, ensuring his patients feel supported every step of the way.
He holds certifications in Level 1 Sedation and Botox/filler applications and works with most major dental insuranceproviders to make high-quality care as accessible as possible.
Over the years, Dr. Nick has refined his skills through hands-on experience in family-focused dental practices across the Denver area. He’s committed to staying current with the latest techniquesand technologies in dentistry, with a particular interest in esthetics,surgery, and patient-focused treatment planning.
When he’s not perfecting smiles, you can find Dr. Nick soaking in everything Colorado has to offer. He enjoys Pilates, playing volleyball in the park, and is a regular at Denver’s vibrant live music venues. Whether it’s a sunrise hike or a local concert, he brings the same enthusiasm to life that he brings to dentistry.
