Ruben Moreno, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified Mohs surgeon at Florida Dermatology Associates with offices in Palm Bay, Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, Cocoa, Titusville and Rockledge, Florida. He has several decades of dermatology experience, treating patients of all ages by improving the health and appearance of their skin.
Dr. Moreno was born in Bogota, Colombia, South America. He received his undergraduate degree in biology at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, New Jersey, and completed medical school at State University of New York College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York City.
He finished his medical training with an internship at New Jersey Medical College in Newark, New Jersey, and a residency at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Dermatology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Moreno maintains his medical credentials with continuing education to stay current with the latest advances in dermatology.
He is a member of numerous professional medical organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Society for Mohs surgery, and the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
In his free time, Dr. Moreno enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He warmly welcomes his patients to Florida Dermatology Associates and looks forward to exceeding their expectations.

Michael Spicer, M.D., F.A.A.D., is a leading dermatologist, dedicated to providing skilled, compassionate care for patients throughout the Brevard County area. At Brevard Medical Dermatology in all locations, Dr. Spicer offers comprehensive treatment for all types of dermatologic issues, including acne, melanoma, warts, dermatitis, skin cancer, moles, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
Dual board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology, Dr. Spicer earned his bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University and his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry NJ (UMDNJ) - New Jersey Medical School. He completed his internship in pediatrics at the University of Maryland, before returning to UMDNJ where he completed a residency in dermatology and a fellowship in dermatopathology. A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Spicer has been caring for patients in the Brevard County, FL, area for more than 20 years.
Johanna Espenschied, MHS, PA-C, is an experienced physician assistant who has specialized in dermatology for over 12 years. She is a Florida native and grew up in Brevard County, where she happily cares for her hometown community.
Johanna attended the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, with a minor in environmental studies. She attended the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, Alabama for her Master’s degree in Health Sciences. Johanna is board-certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants, and licensed by the State of Florida Board of Medicine.
Johanna practices medicine with empathy and compassion. She enjoys getting to know her patients and creating a trusting relationship between patient and provider. Johanna strives to educate her patients, so they have the knowledge to be their own health advocate. Her passion for education also led her to work for over a year as graduate faculty in the Physician Assistant program at AdventHealth University, where she taught and inspired future healthcare providers. Johanna still serves as an adjunct professor.
