Dr. Acri completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University (Go Dukes!), graduating cum laude with distinction in chemistry. She then earned her M.D. from University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Thereafter, she remained in Baltimore, completing an internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Systems. Following training and for over 20 years, Dr. Acri has managed dermatology practices in Rosedale, Severna Park, and more recently White Marsh, Maryland, her own solo practice. Brevard Medical Dermatology is excited to have her at our Viera and Merritt Island locations where she is accepting new patients.

Johanna attended the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, with a minor in environmental studies. She attended the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, Alabama for her Master’s degree in Health Sciences. Johanna is board-certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants, and licensed by the State of Florida Board of Medicine.
Johanna practices medicine with empathy and compassion. She enjoys getting to know her patients and creating a trusting relationship between patient and provider. Johanna strives to educate her patients, so they have the knowledge to be their own health advocate. Her passion for education also led her to work for over a year as graduate faculty in the Physician Assistant program at AdventHealth University, where she taught and inspired future healthcare providers.
