A cum laude graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Dr. Gilman earned her medical degree at The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, and completed her dermatology residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Anthony Freire, LMHC, NCC, CCMHC founded The Soho Center for Mental Health Counseling alongside Kelley Hershman, LMHC and Alexander Badillo, JD, LMHC  to better serve their clientele using a team approach. Dr. Eckman established his private practice in 2001 and opened the Towson Dermatology & Cosmetic Center in 2006 to provide innovative and comprehensive dermatologic and skin care to his patients. Dr. Eckman's expertise includes the detection and management of skin cancer and the treatment of skin disorders in both pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Eckman has participated in skin cancer screenings for the Baltimore Orioles in combination with the American Academy of Dermatology Play it Safe in the Sun program and has been a sought after speaker on the topic of skin cancer detection and prevention. Dr. Eckman has recently relocated to Long Island and has established his new practice in Rockville Centre, NY. He looks forward to providing the same level of care and expertise to his patients in his new practice as he provided during his tenure serving as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins Hospital for nearly twenty years.

Tobechi Ebede, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, founded Plaza Park Dermatology, located in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. 

She founded the practice with a simple philosophy: To educate and empower patients with the ability to maintain their skincare at home. This practical-yet-compassionate approach carries over to every aspect of her practice, which emphasizes timely, accessible, personalized treatment.

A graduate of Dartmouth College, Dr. Ebede earned her medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. She was voted “Intern of the Year” at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital before progressing to Dermatology residency training at Weill-Cornell/NYPH. 

She completed a prestigious Mohs surgery/procedural dermatology fellowship at the joint NYU-Memorial Sloan-Kettering program. Dr. Ebede is a member of the Weill Cornell clinical teaching faculty, where she is actively involved in the education of medical students and resident physicians.

Dr. Ebede is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She has published articles and chapters in the field of dermatology and Mohs surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Ebede enjoys traveling and has a particular interest in international medicine. She has participated in volunteer trips to Belize, Nicaragua, and the Philippines and looks forward to more international medical missions in the future.

Shirley Xu, DNP, FNP-BC is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo and her Master’s degree and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Columbia University.

Shirley Xu sees patients for dermatology concerns including but not limited to eczema, acne, rosacea, hair loss, and psoriasis as well as aesthetic and procedural treatments. She is dedicated to treating patients with an individualized approach. She understands how dermatological conditions can impact the quality of one’s life and is committed to helping her patients feel empowered and confident in their own skin. She is passionate about skincare and utilizes her research background to stay up to date about skincare ingredients, treatments, and procedures.

Yelena Vevitsis is a licensed Physician Assistant, who received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Pace University and completed her Physician Assistant program at NYC Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital. She has been practicing Dermatology for more than 20 years.

Yelena diagnoses and treats many dermatological conditions including, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, pre-cancer and skin cancers, warts, severe sweating, and various skin rashes. She performs lesion removals, biopsies, and skin cancer screenings.

Eyal Levit, MD

Dr. Eyal Levit is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon in New York specializing in biohacking and longevity, Mohs surgery, laser treatments, cosmetic surgery, and regenerative aesthetic medicine. He teaches and practices dermatology, Mohs surgery, laser procedures, and cosmetic surgery in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, where he serves as the Director of an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatology Fellowship, training physicians in advanced cosmetic and surgical techniques.

Dr. Levit completed his dermatology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, followed by fellowship training in Mohs surgery at UPenn, as well as an additional two years of training in cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Levit serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Universidad CES in Colombia. He previously served for more than fifteen years as the Director of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital, Mount Sinai, where he received the Teacher of the Year Award in Surgical Dermatology.

Dr. Levit has authored numerous scientific publications and is the co-author of the textbook published in 2024, Procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology Series: Surgical Lifting (Elsevier). Dr. Whitman is a board certified dermatologist who completed her residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. She has been in practice for more than 25 years and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Whitman also completed a residency in Pediatrics prior to Dermatology. Dr. Whitman prides herself on providing patients with a supportive and caring environment where they receive the best possible medical treatment. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and families. Over the years she has built a community of loyal patients and developed deep relationships with not only her patients but also her staff. She has worked with many of them for decades and the patients appreciate the bond with them as well. In the modern world of medicine where people feel rushed and sometimes not listened to, she is proud of the warm, close environment she has fostered.

In her free time Dr. Whitman enjoys spending time with her children and her granddaughter. She also is passionate about volunteer work and over the past 12 years has spent every summer volunteering at Camp Discovery, a place that children with chronic, sometimes even fatal skin conditions can go to experience a week filled with outdoor fun, friendship, and personal growth. It is an environment where kids can be free from judgment and not be defined by their skin conditions. Dr. Whitman has developed a strong bond with both the campers and fellow dermatologists that run the camp.

She also has done volunteer work in a clinic in Kenya and has been involved for years in Builders Beyond Borders, an organization that brings high school students to build projects for impoverished areas in South America.

In addition, she is an avid animal lover and has been involved with aiding the baby elephants in Kenya and has helped rescue and foster dogs from China and Afghanistan.

Jeremy Moss, MD, PhD, is a compassionate board-certified dermatologist serving men and women in Bridgeport, Connecticut and surrounding Fairfield County. Dr. Moss is on the medical executive committee of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport and serves on the board of directors for the Melanoma Center at Bridgeport Hospital. He also volunteers his time providing care to patients at local nursing homes and convalescent facilities as well as the Yale Residents’ Dermatology Clinic at the West Haven Veterans Hospital in West Haven, Connecticut.

Deirdre Cannon, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant providing high-quality care to patients at Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in Derby and Trumbull, Connecticut. 

Deirdre received her bachelor’s degree in health science from Quinnipiac University in 2004, followed by her master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2006 from the same university.

Deirdre has been working in private practice dermatology since 2006. She joined Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in 2014 and enjoys treating a wide array of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, and skin cancer. At the practice, Deirdre aims to educate her patients on general skin health and skin cancer prevention. 

Philanthropy is very important to Deirdre. She has spent time in both Kenya, as well as India, providing diagnosis and treatment of dermatology conditions in rural communities, education to community members, and training the local clinicians to be able to diagnose and treat. 

Deirdre is also an adjunct professor in the physician assistant program at Quinnipiac University.

Dr. Michael Kurzman is a respected, board-certified dermatologist practicing in Staten Island, New York; near Rossville and Pleasant Plains.
