Hi, I’m Kate - a Registered Dietitian with a passion for blending culinary arts, tactical performance nutrition, ancient healing traditions, and integrative and functional medicine. I’m fascinated by the gut-brain connection and how the foods we eat can influence everything from immune function to mental well-being.
My journey started at the Culinary Institute of America, where I honed my love for food, and continued at Central Michigan University, where I earned my B.S. in Dietetics and Military Science. I later pursued a Master’s in Nutrition with a focus on Nutritional Wellness to deepen my expertise.
Along the way, I’ve worked with Army Special Forces and served as an Olympic sports dietitian at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, helping elite athletes and military personnel optimize their performance through targeted nutrition. As a part-time Army Reservist, I’m committed to supporting service members and their families with evidence-based nutrition strategies.
“Kate is an exceptional nutritionist. She is very structured in her meetings & is extremely knowledgeable. I feel more confident in reaching my goals working with her.”

Being diagnosed with diabetes as teenager was a challenge that became a blessing. I was overwhelmed, but was able to learn through trial & error and clinical education how best to manage my condition. The diagnosis allowed me to find purpose in helping those in need get to a better place managing their chronic condition while avoiding some of the pitfalls I myself experienced.
I started my clinical journey helping those during their inpatient stays. Next, I landed in an outpatient setting in the Alaskan bush. There, I truly found my calling helping those patients on their journey. I left for an opportunity to become an expert in the diabetes technology space. I am currently one of the few clinicians in the state able to train on multiple insulin pumps and CGM devices. After seeing the need in our area, I decided it was time to live my dream and open my own diabetes and nutrition education practice.
