Dr. Shakya earned her medical degree at the Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Gokarneshwor before relocating to the United States for her residency and fellowship. She studied at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for her residency. Veena Watwe, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist and diabetes and metabolism physician at the Endocrine and Psychiatry Center in Houston, Texas. She specializes in endocrine, lipids, and thyroid conditions and is passionate about enabling patients to obtain optimal health.
Dr. Watwe began her education while living in India and earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at BJ Medical College Poona University in Pune, India. She then relocated to the United States to complete an internal medicine internship and residency at the University at Buffalo - Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Watwe also fulfilled an endocrinology and diabetes and metabolism fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.
