Dr. Leslie DeLaney and her fabulous staff ONCE AGAIN came to my relief when I called the office in despair and pain. I was able to get a SAME DAY appointment, greeted by a COMPASSIONATE group of individuals who were accepting anShow mored LISTENED to me. Dr. Delaney assessed me within minutes, offered her suggestions, and "fit" me in for an epidural later in the day. I came back, had the lower back epidural (absolutely NO PAIN), and was treated respectfully and with kindness. A Nurse even walked me down to the car. That is truly UNHEARD OF in this day and age. Every single time I go to the office I am treated this way: Dr. DeLaney will hand me a Quest Bar for nourishment, a Nurse will extend her arm for me to hold on to...these gestures are BEYOND the scope of how medical personnel behave these days.... I feel so grateful and appreciative of the care I have received from Dr. Delaney and her exceptional staff. Taylor, Eveling, and Sharon all work collaboratively in a welcoming environment that promotes positive health and well-being. Thank you!
Very knowledgeable and friendly. She was easy to work with and performed an epidural to help my back pain. I am also working on weight reduction to ease the pain in my knees and was just prescribed Zepbound by Dr. Perez. Dr. DeShow morelaney gave me a prescription for pain medicine for my shoulder, back and knee issues, mainly from arthritis, last July. It really helped the pain but finally ran out last month. I asked for a refill but haven't heard back from the pharmacy. Thank you.

Balanced Pain Management?
Meet Dr. DeLaney
Leslie DeLaney, MD, is a board-certified pain management specialist at Balanced Pain Management in Walnut Creek, California. She considers it a unique honor to serve patients in the East Bay region in Northern California.
Dr. DeLaney became interested in the field of pain management while she was still a medical student at the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was during her anesthesiology rotation that she was introduced to this sub-specialty and was impressed by the doctors’ ability to perform nerve blocks to stop pain that patients, until then, had no choice but to “live with it.” Those doctors were able to relieve patients’ suffering quickly and profoundly, and they inspired her to do the same. It was at that point that she decided to do an anesthesiology residency and become a pain management specialist.
Dr. DeLaney received her training in anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Johns Hopkins Hospital continues to be the #1 training hospital in the world. In addition to learning in-depth pharmacology, physiology, and intraoperative anesthesiology, she learned about acute and chronic pain and worked with some of the pioneers in pain management while doing electives there.
Dr. DeLaney then chose to receive her formal pain management training in interventional pain medicine at The Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cleveland Clinic is world-renowned and the top hospital in the country for the treatment of chronic pain. During her fellowship, Dr. DeLaney concentrated on learning how to treat patients with intractable pain using injection techniques, medication management, and integrating psychology and physical therapy into a plan that would allow people to have a better quality of life.
Dr. DeLaney took her first position as a fully trained pain management specialist at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She achieved the rank of Assistant Professor and maintained a successful pain management practice that involved treating all types of acute and chronic pain syndromes. Dr. DeLaney was also responsible for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows about the disease of chronic pain and how to treat it successfully.
Dr. DeLaney is board certified in both chronic pain management and anesthesiology and has published multiple papers on chronic pain management. She continues to give lectures at local and national medical meetings on pain management.
She is a member of the California Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Pain Association, the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain.

Dr. Delaney Is a very knowledgeable who has worked on isolating my chronic pain in Back which makes it much easier to deal with . I have problems with two spinal infusions, a toltal left hip replacement and a partial rotator cuff repair. The makes me feel "heard" and I go to hear for shots I need over time. I highly recommend her to others with ongoing chronic pain. Mike D

The procedure and all other matter
I feel totally comfortable speaking with Doctor Delaney; this is really important when you're dealing with chronic pain. After working through various treatments, I am now relatively pain free. Another important reason why I like her office is that it is self-contained and free of much of the bureaucracy of bigger practices. You don't have to wait for someone to call you to make an appointment, you don't have to go to a separate facility to have procedures done…… everything is right there; it makes for a relatively stress-free experience.
Dr DeLaney is very pleasant, easy to talk to, very informative. I have only been to see her once but am looking forward to my next appointment.
Dr Delaney is attentive and patient. She has relieved several of my chronic pains. She is easy to deal with.

With the procedure I had on my back I have been relieved of pain which will last for six month to a year! Very TLC care. It is wonderful to be able to sleep at night again! My deepest appreciation to you Doctor Leslie DeLaney, MD
Dr. Delaney was attentive and spent the time necessary to review my complete history not just most recent injury. She also examined me not just the back area.
Everything was made clear several times. The procedure went smooth. Dr. Delaney has great Dr. - patient skills. I'm home doing as told and everything is fine at this time.

Very caring and professional. Drr. Delaney explores and asks about your concerns regarding your medical health. She's an excellent Dr. I highly recommend her.
She’s been my doc since I moved here in 2018. I’ve had horrific post op back pain since 2004. I’ve been on all kinds of pain medications ~~ the only result being left foggy or in more pain. Now… the pain has lessened to where it’s tolerable. I’m very happy with Dr DeLaney. She is a concerned doc who will work with you to help achieve your goals. Plus, her staff is excellent! Audrey
