Jeffrey Weber, DPM, is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who takes a patient-centered, evidence-based approach to health care. He is proud to provide a wide range of podiatry services to patients at Birch Tree Foot and Ankle in Traverse City and Manistee, Michigan.
A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Weber attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan, where he had a successful collegiate running career and graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. During his time at Hope College, he was an All American 1500-meter runner and met his wife, a sprinter and hurdler for the women’s team. They have two daughters and a dog named Lilly, who loves running with them.
After graduating from podiatric medical school in Iowa, Dr. Weber completed a three-year surgical residency focused on all aspects of foot and ankle surgery at The Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University. After his residency, Dr. Weber was invited to pursue an additional year of advanced training at one of the most well-respected foot and ankle fellowships in the country at The Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Columbus, Ohio.
During his fellowship, Dr. Weber gained advanced skills in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery with a focus on total ankle replacement surgery, sports medicine injuries and arthroscopy, trauma surgery, and diabetic limb deformity correction. Currently, Dr. Weber is the only podiatric surgeon in Northern Michigan to have completed a one-year fellowship approved by The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Weber’s medical education and training set him apart from other foot and ankle specialists in Northern Michigan. Dr. Weber acquired Birch Tree Foot and Ankle Specialists from Dr. Randy Hartman and Dr. Daniel Lathrop in July of 2019 after practicing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for several years.
Dr. Weber is still and avid runner. He has completed both the Bayshore and Boston Marathons and many local races. He also enjoys boating, golfing and being outdoors with his family.

Great
I had to have ankle ligament surgery. Dr. Weber explained the process to me so well before and after surgery. At no point did any of the team make me feel bad for calling when I had questions after surgery. Dr. Weber and his team are amazing. Highly recommend that you see him for foot or ankle problem you may have.

He explained everything to me very clearly so I could understand, answered any and all questions. Did not rush me through the exam. I felt that he cared about my well-being.
