About David Herschthal Md Pa

David H. Herschthal, M.D., brings more than 36 years of dermatology experience to the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale area. He is a board certified dermatologist specializing in aesthetic dermatology, skin cancer, cosmetic surgery and laser surgery at The Herschthal Practice in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. David established the practice -- then known as the Dermatology & Cosmetic Laser Centre -- in 1980. He has since joined forces with his daughter and board certified dermatologist, Dr. Jordana Herschthal, serving patients in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale area.    

Prior to the founding of his Boca Raton-based practice, Dr. David completed his:

  • BS degree at City University of New York-Brooklyn College
  • MD degree at New York Medical College
  • Internship at the University of Southern California Los Angeles
  • Dermatology residency at University of Miami Mount Sinai Hospitals, Miami Beach, Florida

Dr. David is passionate about educating future physicians in his field and serves as a professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine, where the future of dermatology is taught to students today. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. David Herschthal is a leader in the dermatology field and has been published widely in medical journals. He’s also shared his decades of knowledge through regular interviews with local and national media, such as Fox News, Inside Edition, ABC, NBC, Oprah Magazine, Allure, Maxim, Self, and Good Housekeeping.
