Dr Lum was excellent. The front desk staff was not very welcoming. She was straight face and unpleasant. I asked for an envelope to put my documents into and she offered me a used envelop twice. I asked if I could get an unused Show moreenvelope which I could see a stack of new small size ones in her second drawer. She refused to give me a new envelope from the stack, saying it was to be used for other situations. I left with a con Edison envelope. What was so hard to give me a clean new envelope that is valued less that 1 dollar. Very disappointed!
Dr. Lum was very nice and thorough. He made my husband and I feel comfortable and went over things to make sure we understood. We liked him however, I'm taking away 1 star for the front desk confusion that we had. Our appointmentsShow more were confirmed despite them no longer taking our inusrance about a week prior. My question was, why would the appt be verfied when my insurance information was provided prior to the appointment only to be told upon arrival that it was no longer accepted. Luckily, we were still able to do what we came there to do. Overall, I'd recommend Dr. Lum.
Dr. Lum is the primary Emergency Medicine physician at Forest Urgent Care. He graduated from SUNY Stony Brook Medical School and did his residency at NYU/ Bellevue Hospital. He has over 20 years of experience as an emergency room doctor at some of the best hospitals in New York including: Columbia Hospital and Montefiore Hospital. He practiced in Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. Because of Dr. Lum’s vast amount of experience, he’s able to address a wide variety of patient needs.

This was my 2nd time seeing Dr. Lum. He listened to my concerns and read his notes from my previous visit. After assessing my symptoms, he prescribed a new medication. Also, he had bloodwork done. It has been 5 days since the visit and I am pleased to say that my medical issue has not returned. Fantastic service!!!
I went to this urgent care facility due to the great reviews I saw on various sites. I was not disappointed. My appointment was at 2pm and I was seen at 2pm. Dr. Lum was extremely kind, patient, and thorough. He listened to my concerns and I didn't feel rushed. I was very satisfied with my experience here.

Dr Lum diagnosed me in seconds after throughly examining me. I was in and out so quickly and had a prescription waiting at the pharmacy.

Dr. Lum listens attentively and is thorough with his questions. He discusses treatment choices, incorporating feedback from the patient, and follows up with test results after the visit.
