Parham Parto, MD, MPH, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist at Parto Heart & Vascular in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, California, providing care for patients throughout Southern California. Dr. Parto is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
A Southern California native, Dr. Parto grew up in Irvine, attending the University of California, Irvine for his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with a minor in educational studies. He then completed his Master of Public Health in health administration at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine at St. George’s University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Parto completed his internal medicine internship and residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, rising to the top of his class and serving as chief resident.
Dr. Parto did his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana, training with the top experts in the field.
He pursued further specialized training in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular intervention at VCU School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia.
Currently, Dr. Parto is the Chief of Cardiology at St. Vincent Medical Center and the Director of Vascular Diseases at California Hospital Medical Center, both in Los Angeles. He has treated a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, won awards, and produced a number of publications.
Dr. Parto is a well-recognized, highly skilled physician who’s committed to the health and recovery of his patients and well-liked for his compassionate bedside manner.

My husband normally doesn’t like going to the doctor, but he feels very comfortable with this doctor. She takes her time, listens to all of his concerns, answers every question, and explains everything in a way we can understand. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and their health. We’re very thankful to have found a cardiologist he feels comfortable and confident with.

Can’t say enough on the very personal attention and in-depth explanation the same day of my 6 month exams. I believe he is the best Cardiologist in the country. I recommend anyone who needs to begin a heart examination for any reason, your choice is Doctor Parto.

I’ve also really appreciated how thoroughly he reviews my chart and previous visits before each appointment. He takes the time to go over everything with me and makes sure I feel heard and understood. His attention to detail is very reassuring, and I truly appreciate the care he provides. Highly recommend!
