I dread some doctor office visits, but NOT Dr. Parto’s appointments. I love being cheerfully greeted by Nadia and later by Natalia. Their welcome always sets me at ease. Then I am ready for Dr. Parto whose direct and honest mannerShow more is just what I like in a physician. I always know what is ahead for me which I appreciate. I am so thankful that when I needed a cardiologist for a surgical clearance that he was there for me and has been for every cardio issue since.
I went in as a new patient to have my heart checked out for an upcoming surgery. The staff was welcoming and very efficient. Dr. Parto was warm, caring, and took the time to address my concerns. Parham Parto, MD, MPH, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist at Parto Heart & Vascular in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, California, providing care for patients throughout Southern California. Dr. Parto is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
A Southern California native, Dr. Parto grew up in Irvine, attending the University of California, Irvine for his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with a minor in educational studies. He then completed his Master of Public Health in health administration at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine at St. George’s University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Parto completed his internal medicine internship and residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, rising to the top of his class and serving as chief resident.
Dr. Parto did his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana, training with the top experts in the field.
He pursued further specialized training in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular intervention at VCU School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia.
Currently, Dr. Parto is the Chief of Cardiology at St. Vincent Medical Center and the Director of Vascular Diseases at California Hospital Medical Center, both in Los Angeles. He has treated a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, won awards, and produced a number of publications.
Dr. Parto is a well-recognized, highly skilled physician who’s committed to the health and recovery of his patients and well-liked for his compassionate bedside manner.

the front desk and PA was great, however the assistant that brought my mom into a room has a bit rude and condescending, she refused to let me acompany my mother in the room for vitals which i've always acompanied her too. and her demeanor was wrong

Everything went very well with my appointment. I went in right away. Had two tests by a competent Lady who told me what to do. Dr. Parto talked with me after analyzing the tests.
