Family physician Nicholas Tavani, MD, PhD, leads the team at Battlefield Family Medicine & Weight Management. Having served the local residents of Manassas, Virginia, for over two decades, Dr. Tavani and the team take a compassionate approach to care and promote healthy lifestyles to patients and their families.
Dr. Tavani earned his Bachelor of Science at the Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1974. Dr. Tavani recieved his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He then completed his internship in family medicine at Providence Hospital through Georgetown University, followed by his residency in family medicine at the University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly. Dr. Tavani later obtained his PhD in Biophysics and Physiology at Georgetown University in 1984.
At Battlefield Family Medicine & Weight Management, Dr. Tavani and the staff are passionate about medicine and helping patients get top-of-the-line care. Patients have access to acute care services, including same-day appointments for sick visits, urinary tract infections, and other pains and strains. She brings a wealth of experience from her work in a family medical clinic and her previous role as a Registered Nurse specializing in cardiology medicine. Priscilla Lobo is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in critical care nursing. She began her nursing career after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Her journey began in telemetry, where she built a strong foundation in patient care and cardiac monitoring. Seeking greater challenges, she transitioned to the intensive care unit, specializing in cardiology and neurology. During this time, she served as a charge nurse and preceptor, mentoring new nurses and leading her team in delivering high-quality patient care.
