Catherine Holder, PA-C, is a physician assistant with more than 10 years of experience. At Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery, PC. Catherine specializes in diagnosing and treating anal pain, hemorrhoids, abscesses, and other colorectal conditions.

Catherine completed her undergraduate and physician assistant training at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before returning to her home state of Alaska to specialize in colon and rectal surgery. During the early years of her career, Catherine met her husband, an Air Force pilot, and relocated to Washington state, where she continued to specialize in surgery.

After welcoming their third child, Catherine and her husband were stationed in Illinois. Catherine transitioned into being a stay-at-home parent during this time before having her third child and moving to Northern Virginia. She is thrilled to rejoin the workforce and return to her passion of helping others at Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery, PC.

Dr. Dan Bishwakarma is a board-certified family physician at Prime Medical Care, LLC, serving residents living in the Alexandria, Virginia area. He earned his M. B., B. S. (Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery) degree from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, New York, affiliated with Cornell University, in June 2008. He served as a chief resident in the last year of his residency. His residency training in the metropolitan environment of New York City and work experience soon after have given him the knowledge and skillset required to manage a wide variety of illnesses in a diverse patient population. Annie Chan, FNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Duo Wellness Rejuvenation in Washington, DC. She works with teens and adults to develop customized solutions that maximize inner well-being and outer beauty using both an Eastern and Western approach to medicine.

Annie earned her Bachelor of Science in chemistry and graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She graduated one year early to study Chinese Studies in Beijing, China, which was the beginning of her passion for alternative medicine. She continued her education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

After several years of working as a Registered Nurse in emergency departments and neonatal intensive care units nationwide, Annie returned to school. She earned her Master of Science in nursing from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated magna cum laude.

She has also held several volunteer positions, including caring for orphans with congenital disorders while abroad, organizing a medical team to aid refugees at the Mexico-US border, and traveling to Ukraine to provide medical care for refugees.

Niambi Hogans FNP-BC, is a New Jersey native who received her BSN from Stratford University and her MSN from Chamberlain University, with a specialization in family practice. Over 15 years in health care, Niambi has worked in emergency rooms, as a forensic examiner, and at the bedside. During the height of the pandemic Niambi took travel assignments to provide emergency staffing for those in need of care during a trying time for the nation. In 2022, she started The Whole Body Wellness Center. Loving the practice of medicine and seeing the current shortage of family practice providers she has left the acute care setting with the goal of providing care to patients both in person and virtually. Lauren Simington Naughton, MS, PA-C, is an experienced primary care and internal medicine physician assistant who is well-established in the northern Virginia medical community. At Capital Area Internal Medicine, she shares the team’s goal of providing patients with the highest standard of medical care. Lauren sees patients from the practice’s offices in Vienna and Ashburn, Virginia. 

Lauren completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Rutgers University, graduating from PA school in 2004. She has 17 years of clinical experience in the DC metro area. 

At Capital Area Internal Medicine, Lauren aims to care for patients according to their individual needs and health goals. In addition to providing comprehensive primary care and internal medicine services, she has special interests in disease prevention, health maintenance, mental health, eating disorders, and weight management.
