Barbara Pierre, PA, is a licensed and NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant with experience in primary and urgent care medicine. She sees patients of all ages at TriiBE Medical LLC in the Upper Marlboro, Maryland area.

Barbara is a Florida native. In 2012 she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of South Florida (USF) with campuses in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota, followed by a Master of Science in Health Science in 2013. 

Later, in 2021, Barbara achieved a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Frostburg University (FSU) in Frostburg, Maryland.

Before transitioning to clinical medicine and patient care, Barbara worked in allied health education, teaching Biology and Psychology for associate degree health programs.

As a primary care PA, Barbara has evaluated and managed a range of patients with both chronic and acute health concerns. She hopes to serve as an effective resource and advocate for patients throughout their health journey.

I have been working in the healthcare field for over twenty-five years. Through active listening and utilization of up-to-date evidence in healthcare, I offer individualized, compassionate, and holistic healthcare to a diverse patient population. I enjoy caring and providing an empathic and person-centered approach to optimize patient outcomes. I provide care for the whole family in a time-sensitive manner and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to eliminate fragmentation of care.

With a firm professional background in traditional and functional medicine, Jennifer has blended the best of both to deliver personalized care to her patients. After receiving her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia, where she was a member of the women’s swim team, she went on to complete her degree in Physician Assistant Studies.  She went on to complete the Schering Corporation Fellowship Program in Liver Disease in 1999 with excellence and distinction. During the fellowship, she was an integral part of establishing and running the Frederick County Hepatitis Clinic in Frederick, MD. The central mission of the clinic was to diagnose and treat Hepatitis C in the under-served and under-insured population in Western Maryland.  

 

In 2000 Jennifer joined The Washington Clinic as a Primary Care PA and saw patients acutely and preventatively within a multi-specialty facility which promoted collaboration with many different physicians with a team-treatment approach.  In 2003, she was given the opportunity to join the oncology practice of Dr. Frederick Smith in Chevy Chase, MD. Here she was the lead PA and was tasked with navigating cancer patients and their families through the chemotherapy treatment process and, in many cases, dealing with the dying process. During this time, Jennifer was instrumental in incorporating nutritional considerations as well as acupuncture to treatment protocols. These modalities allowed many patients to recover more quickly between treatments while experiencing reduced nausea and a bolstered immune system.

 

In 2007, Jennifer became the Clinical Director at Restorasis Health and Sylvana Med Spa.  During her 12 years at this practice, she acquired extensive aesthetic skills as well as experience in Hormone Replacement and Functional and Regenerative Medicine.  She has been an aesthetic trainer for many MD’s, PA’s., CRNP’s, and RNs all over the east coast and prides herself on creating a natural look for those wanting dermal fillers and neuromodulators.  Jennifer has completed Functional Medicine training through The Institute for Functional Medicine as well as the American Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine. For over a decade, she continues to enable patients to optimize their hormone, thyroid, and adrenal functions by using lifestyle modifications as well as nutrition and nutritional supplements in conjunction with traditional medications, if needed.

Maghal earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in family nurse practitioner at the Chamberlain College of Nursing, located in Downer's Grove, Illinois, where she also completed over 600 hours of clinical training. 

As an experienced nurse, Maghal has worked in several different health care settings, including hospitals and family practice settings in the state of Maryland. She previously worked as a night shift charge nurse at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland, for several years before taking a position as a family nurse practitioner at Menocal Family Practice in Frederick.

Annie earned her Bachelor of Science in chemistry and graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She graduated one year early to study Chinese Studies in Beijing, China, which was the beginning of her passion for alternative medicine. She continued her education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

After several years of working as a Registered Nurse in emergency departments and neonatal intensive care units nationwide, Annie returned to school. She earned her Master of Science in nursing from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated magna cum laude.

As a nurse practitioner, Annie worked with Forward Healthcare as a remote nurse practitioner and in the emergency department at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, before opening Duo Wellness Rejuvenation with her co-founder, Marissa Rehman, FNP-BC. She has also held several volunteer positions, including caring for orphans with congenital disorders while abroad, organizing a medical team to aid refugees at the Mexico-US border, and traveling to Ukraine to provide medical care for refugees.

Over 15 years in health care, Niambi has worked in emergency rooms, as a forensic examiner, and at the bedside. During the height of the pandemic Niambi took travel assignments to provide emergency staffing for those in need of care during a trying time for the nation. In 2022, she started The Whole Body Wellness Center. Loving the practice of medicine and seeing the current shortage of family practice providers she has left the acute care setting with the goal of providing care to patients both in person and virtually. In addition to his experience and knowledge as a primary care physician, Dr. Paul Katz specializes in addiction medicine, helping patients take back control of their lives through tailored recovery programs.

To offer this comprehensive care, Dr. Paul Katz holds board certifications in Primary Care Medicine, Addiction Medicine, Osteopathy and Anesthesia. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Paul Katz began as a member of the military, and he was in active duty from 1962 until 1979, when he was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Colonel. After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Paul Katz completed his residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993 and then worked as medical director and a primary care practitioner, as well as teaching faculty, at the same institution.
