Eva was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley with her family at age 10. She graduated cum laude from St. Edwards University in Austin with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2017. Eva received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List. After college, she spent her first postgraduate year working in the Emergency department and volunteering at rural clinics in Mexico and Peru. Eva then attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. She is bilingual and motivated to help the Corpus Christi community in their skin needs. Eva’s interest in helping the community and passion for overall skin care is what drove her to pursue a field in dermatology; her interest was further motivated during her clinical rotations. After 20 years of clinical experience and 19 years of practicing family medicine in Kingsville, I pride myself on being able to effectively communicate with my patients, and offering a more personable medical office visit. I graduated from UTPA, now, UTRGV, in 2003 with a BS in PA Studies. I moved to Kingsville in 2003 after marrying my husband who was stationed at NAS Kingsville at the time. We have one son, Owen, who is 16 and we reside in Riviera, Tx. In my free time (if that is such a thing) I enjoy being with my family, attending livestock shows and volunteering at 4-H activities.
