Born and raised in Mexico, Dr. Ahearn earned his Physician-Surgeon degree with highest honors from the University of La Salle, Mexico City, in 1982. He completed his family practice residency at St. Luke's and Mercy Hospitals in Davenport, Iowa, in 1987 and furthered his education with a certification in acupuncture from Harvard Medical School in 2010.

Since opening Ahearn & Associates in 2003, Dr. Ahearn has built a trusted practice while also serving as Medical Director for numerous nursing homes across Illinois. In addition, he continues to work as an emergency room physician at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center.
