Dr. Weddle received his doctorate in chiropractic at Parker University in 1995. Neil Verma, MD

As the Chief Medical Officer of Integrative Pain Institute Dr. Verma develops comprehensive programs and medical protocols to address and treat the inflammation and injuries that cause pain. Dr. Verma’s expertise and training allows Integrative Pain Institute to offer effective treatments for spine, joint, muscle, tendon, and nerve conditions suffered by men and women of Dallas. As a Pain Management and Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Verma utilizes various imaging studies, astute physical examinations, and ultrasound guided procedures to accurately diagnose and treat pain and injuries. Using telemedicine, Dr. Verma’s focus is to provide comprehensive care to patients in order to identify and manage the root cause of pain. Dr. Verma also participated in a limited availability workshop to update his knowledge of Ultrasound and the most recent advances in Regenerative Medicine guided by leading experts from Harvard Medical School as well as from the following Boston’s professional sports teams: Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, New England Revolution and New England Patriots. Kennedy Gombert was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and went to the University of Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. At the University of Alabama, she was involved in pre-medical societies, club soccer, and her sorority.

After graduating from Alabama in 2020, she moved back to San Antonio and was a medical scribe before attending PA school at West Coast University in Dallas, TX where she earned a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. During PA school, she developed a passion for surgery and is excited begin her career in orthopedics.

Outside of work, she loves to read, spend time with friends, travel, and cheer on Alabama football (roll tide!)

Umar Burney MD, MBA is the founding and managing partner at Orthopaedic Specialists of Dallas. He is dual board-certified in general orthopaedics and sports medicine surgery.

Dr. Burney was born in Madison, Wisconsin. His parents were both in the teaching profession and taught the importance of learning and education. Living abroad during high school, he had the unique opportunity to graduate with a secondary education certification from the University of Cambridge in England.

He returned to the University of Wisconsin in Madison to complete his undergraduate degree in medical microbiology and immunology with a special interest in communicative diseases of the third world.

Dr. Burney attended Saint George's University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada, and joined the Iota Epsilon Alpha International Medical Honors Society his sophomore year. He then completed his internship and orthopaedic surgical residency at Louisiana State University Shreveport, where he received several awards for excellence in basic science research and anatomy.

After graduating from LSU, Dr. Burney completed a sports medicine and joint replacement fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Leland Winston and Dr. Thomas Clanton at the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Burney has served on numerous committees throughout his career. His current roles include Joint Replacement Director and Vice Chair of the Board of Managers at Texas Health Surgery Center of Rockwall. His primary focus is sports medicine and joint replacement.

Dr. Burney is married to Nazlee, an elementary educator, and they share three children. He enjoys philanthropy, family time, traveling, running, and soccer in his spare time.

Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Marquart finished her undergraduate studies at Southwestern Adventist University with a B.S. in Biology, in Keene, TX.  In 2003, she completed her Medical Degree at University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in Galveston, TX.  Her internship was at Pinnacle Health Hospitals in Harrisburg, PA, and residency at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA.

Dr. Marquart enjoys the variety that Family Medicine brings.  She works with families to become healthy and stay healthy.  When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Marquart homeschools her two children, enjoys many outdoor activities with her husband and kids, plays the cello, runs, bikes, and swims for fun.
