Dr. Michael Cherkassky has dedicated more than five decades to medicine and patient care. He began practicing medicine in 1973, building extensive experience across Internal Medicine, Oncology, Hematology, Bariatric Medicine, and Orthopedic Medicine.
Driven by a lifelong interest in health and wellness, Dr. Cherkassky began specializing in medical weight management in 1985. He wanted to develop an effective, medically guided approach to weight loss that prioritized patient health while minimizing unwanted side effects. That vision led to the development of the Sensotherapy weight loss system.
For Dr. Cherkassky, successful weight management is about more than losing pounds. His approach considers each patient's individual health, lifestyle, and needs, with the goal of helping them achieve a healthier lifestyle and improve their overall quality of life.
Today, his decades of clinical experience provide the foundation for Sensotherapy's approach to modern medical weight management and wellness care. He remains committed to providing patients with individualized medical guidance, education, and support throughout their journey.

Stacey L. Maddox, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) dedicated to providing holistic, evidence-based care across the lifespan at North Texas Internal Medicine Specialists in Plano, Texas. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas at Arlington, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Stacey’s clinical training included 720 hours of hands-on experience in family primary care, solidifying her commitment to preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient education.
Stacey’s extensive RN background includes leadership roles as a charge nurse and preceptor in the Burn ICU at Parkland Hospital and specialized wound care experience at Lifecare Hospital of Dallas and Texas Health Resources. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and holds active licensure as an APRN and RN in the state of Texas.
A proud member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association, Stacey is passionate about empowering patients to make informed health decisions and improve long-term wellness outcomes.
