Dr. Elad Tennen is a Board-Certified Sports Medicine Physician who provides expert care to patients at Orthocenter. Dr. Tennen received his undergraduate degree in Biology with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry from Ramapo College of New Jersey, graduating with Honors. Following graduation, Dr. Tennen went on to Ross University School of Medicine for his Medical Degree. After receiving his Medical Degree Dr. Tennen completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Elmhurst Hospital in affiliation with Mount Sinai Hospital.

After his Internship, Dr. Tennen completed his Residency in Family Medicine from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerset NJ. After Residency, Dr. Tennen completed an ACGME Accredited Fellowship at Atlantic Sports Health in Morristown NJ. While in Fellowship, Dr. Tennen’s training involved providing sideline medical coverage for the New York Jets, Division I athletes from Seton Hall University and a private hockey league.

Dr. Tennen practices non-surgical techniques, using conservative measures to allow patients to rehabilitate from their injuries. His Primary Care background allows for treatment of Non-Orthopaedic / medical injuries in athletes ranging from concussion management/return to play, athletic fatigue, overtraining, exercised induced asthma, as well as management of athletes with other chronic medical conditions. Dr. Tennen believes in using the patient-centered approach in providing care and building a strong rapport with his patients.

Dr. Tennen is a New Jersey native who was raised nearby in Marlboro NJ. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching football and following the fitness industry. Dr. Tennen plays an active role in his community serving as the District Physician for several local school districts in Monmouth County NJ.

Alexander C. Scopellite MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who has been employed with the OrthoCenter since 2019. Alex received his Masters as a Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University 2019. He has always had a passion for the orthopaedic medical field which he discovered working at Bayshore Medical Center in the OR during his undergraduate and graduate education.

Alex currently functions as the managing PA-C for the practice. His primary responsibilities include assisting all the surgeons in the practice in the operating room, as well as seeing patients admitted to the hospital and in the emergency room at Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Medical Center. Alex will perform bedside fracture and dislocation reductions, application of splints, application of wound vac systems, and intra-articular joint injections/aspirations.

Alex also occasionally sees patients in the outpatient office setting; evaluating new patients, managing patients in the post-operative period, and see patients for routine repeat injections.

Benjamin J Scopellite MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant. He received his bachelor's in Biology from Seton Hall University in 2019, and Subsequently his Masters's as a Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University in 2021.

Benjamin has always had a great interest in orthopedic surgery and since graduating as a PA in 2021 he has worked in orthopedics.

During his practice he has seen patients in the emergency and inpatient hospital setting as well as the outpatient clinic; in addition to acting as a surgical first assist in a wide variety of orthopedic procedures.

Benjamin joined Orthocenter in 2022. His primary responsibilities include assisting the surgeons in the operating room and seeing patients at both Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Medical Center. Benjamin also sees patients in the outpatient office setting.

 

 

Tzvi Doron D.O., DABOM CLS is board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. He’s a patient-centered physician who started his career in general practice at a newly opened Federally Qualified Health Center in South Florida, where he helped grow the practice from scratch to a thriving practice in two years, providing much-needed care to the underserved. He then transitioned to healthtech leadership as employee #3 at Ro, one of the fastest growing healthcare startups in the U.S., where he served as their Chief Clinical Officer.

Dr. Doron is passionate about the role of exercise and nutrition as medicine and believes prevention should be the backbone of primary care. His interests span the areas of cardiometabolic health, weight management, and men’s and women’s health. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Doron loves to travel, hike, and cook.

Dr. Matthew Rodgers trained at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and joins the practice after retiring from the Army after a 27-year career.  He is board certified in family medicine and sleep medicine with a focus on sleep medicine for the past 10 years.   He was the Army medical director for the virtual medical center for two years focusing on providing synchronous and asynchronous virtual health care throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Dr. Rodgers created virtual sleep medicine clinics to provide sleep testing and treatment to sites in four countries and eight sites, throughout Europe. Professionally he enjoys narcolepsy, sleep apnea and the complex interactions between sleep and PTSD.  Dr. Rodgers likes football, basketball, and baseball.  But ironically wasn’t good at any of them, so he played rugby for eight years and wrestled for fourteen and coached wrestling for five years.

Dr. Amy Meoli has been practicing sleep medicine for over 20 years. She trained at the University of Missouri-Kansas City prior to her sleep fellowship at Allegheny University in Philadelphia. She is board-certified in sleep medicine. Dr. Meoli says she recognized the changes in patient needs related to sleep issues, and the growing time constraint people have to manage. She believes Sliiip is a progressive move to accommodate patient needs. Dr.Meoli is excited to be a part of this organization. Besides work, she enjoys time with her puppies. She loves to travel and cook.

Irene is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer specializing in weight loss, injury prevention, corrective exercise, and glute development. With passion for promoting population health, Irene earned her Master of Public Health from the University of Southern California where she contributed to government-funded weight loss programs for adolescents and adults with obesity. These experiences reinforced her belief that nutrition and exercise are the best preventive “medicine” for chronic diseases and overall well-being. To deepen her expertise in holistic health approach, Irene pursued a Master of Science in Nutritional Science and Kinesiology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Since 2021, Irene has worked with over 100 clients, helping them achieve sustainable results in weight loss, muscle gain, and overall wellness. Thomas Bills, MD, PhD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery and general orthopaedics at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics in Hamilton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He is one of the founders of MBO.

Dr. Bills grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Syracuse University in New York. He then moved to Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to complete a PhD in pharmacology and a Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College, now the Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia.

He is an associate staff member at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He serves on the research staff as a visiting scientist at The Hospital for Special Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedic Research at Cornell Medical School in New York City, New York.

Michael Jurewicz, MD, is a dedicated urologist and the founder of Vantage Medical Associates, P.C., which has locations in the Bergen Beach, Coney Island, Williamsburg, and Sheepshead Bay neighborhoods in Brooklyn, the Far Rockaway neighborhood in Queens, and Brentwood, West Hempstead, and Babylon, New York.
