She earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Cornell University, conducted epidemiological research at the National Institutes of Health, and received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency and fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Girón is a Creighton Model/NaProTECHNOLOGY Medical Consultant and is working toward certification as a Fertility Education and Medical Management (FEMM) Provider. She is also a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and serves on the board of the Tampa Guild of the Catholic Medical Association.
