With 12+ years of experience in private practice, she has a knack for empowering her clients to feel healthier and more confident in their skin.
Laura is a Registered Dietitianin NYC with eight years of experience. She earned her Masters in Nutrition and Food Science with an emphasis on Nutrition Education from Montclair State University and then completed her dietetic internship with a specialty in worksite wellness as Wellness Workdays. She then worked at WIC, where she provided nutrition counseling and education to pregnant patients and young children. During her time at WIC she developed a passion for fertility, pregnancy, and early childhood nutrition. She was able to further develop that passion over the past five years as she has led the outpatient nutrition counseling program at CarePoint-Hoboken University Medical Center. During her time at CarePoint she has gained experience counseling on a variety of disease states and nutrition issues. In addition to the outpatient program, she was also a member of the clinical in-patient team. At CarePoint, she also had the role of community dietitian where she gave nutrition presentations and cooking demonstrations at community events and universities.

Clara Goodman, PA-C,is a physician assistant. She serves patients in Gilbert, Arizona, at the HealthyU Clinics – Gilbert Val Vista Rd. location.
While attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Clara received a Bachelor of Science in exercise and wellness with a minor in Spanish. She then went on to receive her physician assistant training at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah.
Clara is excited to be a member of the HealthyU Clinics team. She loves working in the medical field because of the opportunity it gives her to get to know and work with so many wonderful people.
Clara wants each patient to leave their appointment confident in the care that was given. Clara listens to the patient's concerns and discusses their treatment options with them. She believes in working together with the patient to help them achieve their health goals.

Carla is an enthusiastic Board Certified Physician Assistant who works closely with Dr. Bashir. Carla is an Arizona native and completed her undergraduate education, locally, at the University of Arizona, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. She then earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She developed a strong interest in cardiology during PA school and is enthusiastic about learning all there is in cardiac care. In her free time, Carla enjoys playing tennis, hiking, traveling, and skiing.
Robert Claflin, DO, CAQSM, is a primary care and sports medicine doctor. He serves patients at HealthyU Clinics at our Gilbert and Chandler, Arizona, clinics.
Dr. Claflin started his training in the health field at Arizona State University in Tempe, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in exercise and wellness. In 2017, he graduated from Midwestern Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.
In 2020, Dr. Claflin completed his family medicine residency at East Carolina University in Greenville, South Carolina, and his sports medicine fellowship in 2021.
Including treating patients of all ages, he has worked with high school, collegiate division I, and professional athletes throughout his training and in practice in the sports medicine field. In 2021, he returned to Arizona to work in private practice family medicine and sports medicine.
Dr. Claflin joined HealthyU Clinics in 2022. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, trying out new restaurants, traveling, going to the movies, and spending time with friends and family.
