Dr. Melissa Marie Kempf was born and raised in San Antonio. She left for Lubbock, TX to attend college at Texas Tech University and then stayed for Medical School. She spent 2 of 4 years in Lubbock and 2 years in El Paso where they have a secondary campus. Family Practice Residency was done in Conroe, TX at the regional hospital. The residency program was associated with UTMB Medical School at that time. She then spent 3 years in the USAF, stationed at Keesler, AFB in Biloxi, MS. During those 3 years she deployed to Incirlik, Turkey for 3 months during Operation Enduring Freedom, providing coverage in the Emergency Room for active duty personnel, their families and local Turkish people. After the Air Force, she moved back to San Antonio to be closer to family and has been here ever since 2004 along with her only daughter Zoe. Medicine runs in the family. Her older brother, Dr Kevin Kempf is a Rheumatologist in San Antonio as well. After graduating from business school, I began my career as an orthopedic sales consultant for Smith & Nephew Inc. While working in the operating room daily in both trauma and total reconstructive cases, I developed a strong interest in surgery and decided to attend PA school. Upon graduation, I practiced in neurosurgery in Tampa, FL for 2 years and am now excited to be back in the orthopedic field working for Dr. Fox and the Fox Team.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Alex, and daughter, Avery, attending church, running, cycling, swimming and watching Indiana Hoosier sports.
Dr. Melissa Ann Walker is a family medicine physician and the owner and founder of Carol Clinic for Family-Centered Healthcare in San Antonio, Texas. Carol Clinic is named for her late mother, Mrs. Carol Williams Walker.

After receiving her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from George Washington University, Dr. Pana completed a Family Medicine Residency at UCLA and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. She also served as a physician in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Pana has treated athletes for every major college sport as well as professional and Olympic athletes. She served on the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine Board from 2008-2012.
Academically, Dr. Pana has been involved in educating physician assistants, medical students, residents, and athletic training students. She has several publications relating to concussions in athletes and has assisted in editing the 5 Minute Sports Medicine Consult. Dr. Pana has joined Serenity Medical Group to help care for patients with work-related injuries and active patients in the area with musculoskeletal or sports-related injuries.
In her free time, Dr. Pana enjoys swimming and walking. She also enjoys movies and exploring all the local family-friendly events with her 8-year-old son.
