Behzad Souferzade, DO, (aka Dr. Soufer) is a leading family medicine doctor at CHAP Med in Sherman Oaks, California. He brings a unique, holistic individualized, patient-partner approach to care.
Praised for his expert skill and compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Soufer offers comprehensive treatment, management, and preventative care for a wide variety of conditions and diseases, including depression, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, urgent care needs, asthma, and diabetes. He also performs routine screenings, such as pap smears and STD testing.
Dr. Soufer earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at UCLA, followed by a medical degree in osteopathic medicine at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM). He went on to complete a one-year internship at North Shore-LIJ Health System (now called Northwell Health) and a residency in family medicine at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital. Upon completion of his medical training, Dr. Soufer joined the highly-respected, 25-year-old practice of one of his mentors.
