Moving here from the east coast 3 years ago I can say without any hesitation that Dr. Soufer is THE BEST primary care doctor I have had in more than 20 years. In any area of service Dr. Soufer is an ideal doctor. (I only left hisShow more client list because of my forced new insurance program which did not allow me to see him any longer.)

Behzad Souferzade, DO, (aka Dr. Soufer) is a leading family medicine doctor at CHAP Med in Sherman Oaks, California. He brings a unique, holistic individualized, patient-partner approach to care.
Praised for his expert skill and compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Soufer offers comprehensive treatment, management, and preventative care for a wide variety of conditions and diseases, including depression, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, urgent care needs, asthma, and diabetes. He also performs routine screenings, such as pap smears and STD testing.
Dr. Soufer earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at UCLA, followed by a medical degree in osteopathic medicine at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM). He went on to complete a one-year internship at North Shore-LIJ Health System (now called Northwell Health) and a residency in family medicine at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital. Due to his exceptional patient care and medical knowledge, Dr. Soufer was appointed Chief Resident and taught both medical students and newly graduated physicians.
Upon completion of his medical training, Dr. Soufer joined the highly-respected, 25-year-old practice of one of his mentors. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Soufer continues to educate medical students as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, California.
As a primary care physician, he has extensive experience in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, urgent care, and care for critically-ill, hospitalized patients. His osteopathic training and vast clinical work has shaped Dr. Soufer’s unique approach for providing individualized, holistic care that considers all aspects of a patient’s well-being: mind, body and spirit. I can't say enough about Dr.Soufer. I first met him as a patient at St. Joseph Hospital, when I had a 7mm kidney stone that was stuck in my ureter. He was the first doctor to actually sit on my bed, with me, to explain everything that was going on with my body. This was in March of 2020. Dr. Souferzeda has a way about him that made me relax and that everything will be corrected. And it did !! At that moment in time, I asked him if he would be my primary doctor. He agreed with me.
Everyone in this office is pleasant friendly.
