Angie Tucker Anderson, MSN, MHA, FNP-BC has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare as a registered nurse, healthcare administrator and nurse practitioner. Ms. Anderson received her Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA in 1997. She is also a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA, receiving a Master of Healthcare Administration in 2006. She also received a Master of Science in Nursing from James Madison University in 2012. She is an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She holds an Advanced Certification in Obesity Medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. Ms. Anderson has specialty expertise in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine.
Kristen Carter is an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing and spent seven years as a Registered Nurse working at St. Mary's Hospital in critical care. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from Maryville University and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Kristen is passionate about treating root cause and strongly believes in individualized care as she recognizes that your health is your wealth. She specializes in treating peripheral neuropathy, pain management, and hormonal imbalances. Dr. Laura Toombs, MD, is a primary care physician, who is board-certified in family medicine and addiction medicine. She is personally and professionally passionate about recovery from addiction. She is dedicated to helping families affected by addiction to seek better health as part of their journey in recovery.
Erika Harris, PA-C has practiced as a physician assistant in Virginia for 12 years. She received a Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Animal Science from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master of Health Science and Physician Assistant degree from Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Fakayode studied at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria, earning her medical degree.
After graduation, she moved to the United States and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey. There, she received extensive training in all aspects of health care, including acute care,preventive medicine, primary care, and chronic disease management.
Dr. Fakayode is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. At Dovecare Medical Group, she serves patients 18 and older. Dr. Fakayode takes an integrative and personalized approach to medicine. She spends quality one-on-one time with each person and develops custom care plans based on each individual’s symptoms, health history, and needs.

My diverse professional training has included primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, surgical care, psychiatric care, cardiac telemetry, DOT medical examiner, IV nutrition therapy, medical weight loss and men's hormone replacement therapy.
Outside of my first love of God and family, is fishing, boating, wildlife, gardening and reading. I've been married to my soul mate for 28 years and we have two amazing adult sons, with our first grandchild on the way!
Jennifer Thompson is the owner and Nurse Practitioner associated with Advanced Practice. She is a graduate of George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, where she received her Masters in the Science of Nursing. Jennifer is board certified and is licensed in North Carolina and autonomously in Virginia & Florida. Jennifer pursued her career interest in Emergency Medicine and has practiced full time since 2005, affiliated with multiple hospital sites. Jennifer also has worked in the areas of Primary Care and Correctional Medicine along her journey.
Jennifer founded Advanced Practice in response to the growing needs for healthcare amongst the surrounding communities. In the midst of increasing patient demand and fewer providers, advanced practitioners have started stepping up to meet demands all over the country.
