Meet Dr. Santiago
Lourdes T. Santiago, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon at Colon and Rectal Clinic of Tampa Bay in Clearwater, Florida. Dr. Santiago specializes in the treatment of colon and rectal cancers, as well as pelvic floor disorders.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and serving as a major in the United States Army, Dr. Santiago relocated to Tampa Bay, Florida, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Science and Chemistry at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Santiago returned to Puerto Rico, graduating with her Doctor of Medicine from the Ponce School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency and colon and rectal surgery fellowship training at the University of South Florida.
She is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and the Florida Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (FLSCRS).
Dr. Santiago has an affiliation with many area hospitals, including St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Largo Medical Center in Largo, and Belleair Surgery Center in Largo.

Abby Quigley, PA-C, is a board certified physician assistant specializing in women's health and gynecologic surgery. A Sarasota native and proud double Gator, Abby earned both her Bachelor of Health Science (2023) and Master of Physician Assistant Studies (2026) from the University of Florida.
Abby's passion for women's health began long before PA school while working as a medical assistant in obstetrics and gynecology for 1.5 years. That experience confirmed her commitment to caring for women through every stage of life and inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to improving women's health.
As a physician assistant, Abby is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and providing compassionate, individualized care. She enjoys partnering with women longitudinally throughout their healthcare journey, from routine gynecologic care and preventive screenings to contraceptive counseling, menopause management, procedural care, and patient education. Abby also works closely alongside the practice's surgeons, first assisting in a wide range of gynecologic procedures and helping guide patients through the entirety of their surgical experience, from consultation to recovery.

Alex was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree and Physician Assistant Certificate from Wagner College in 1999. She later completed her Master of Science degree in Advanced Physician Assistant Studies at Wagner College in 2005.
For 27 years, Alex had the privilege of caring for patients as a Physician Assistant in the Department of OB/GYN at Staten Island University Hospital, part of Northwell Health. In 2026, she relocated to Florida and is excited to continue serving women in her new community.
Women's health has always been Alex's passion. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them navigate every stage of life with compassion and personalized care.
