Her journey with Rochester Primary Care first began as a Medical Assistant, where she cultivated a fundamental commitment to patient care over 4 years.
Driven by a profound passion for patient care and well-being, she embarked on her journey through nursing school to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to enhance her ability to provide exceptional patient care.
Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of serving in diverse healthcare settings, ranging from primary care, to front-line 911 emergency care, and most recently, Registered Nursing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
This breadth of experience has equipped her with a comprehensive view of healthcare delivery systems, allowing her to navigate complex patient needs with empathy and efficiency.
As a Nurse Care Manager, she specializes in coordinating care plans that optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care. Her role involves collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to tailor personalized care strategies that address both medical and emotional needs.

If there’s anything Marlene Hamama, RN, BSN, MSN, NP, enjoys more than caring for and interacting with patients, it’s being part of a team of highly motivated medical professionals. Marlene is a certified adult nurse practitioner at Neuro Pain Consultants with four convenient locations in the metropolitan Detroit region: Bloomfield Hills, Clarkston, Macomb Township, and West Bloomfield, Michigan. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Marlene continued on to Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, where she earned her master’s degree in nursing with advanced training for the full scope of nurse practitioner. She groomed specialized skills in pain management while serving as a pre-operative/recovery nurse in diverse clinical settings, such as surgical intensive care and trauma units. Previously, Marlene worked for the American Surgical Centers and William Beaumont Hospital. She brings her passion for patient care and her commitment to helping patients maintain their health to her work as a member of the Neuro Pain Consultants medical staff.
