Andrea D’Gama, FNP, joined Katy Rheumatology in 2020, and under the supervision of Dr. Chimata, has dedicated her time caring for patients’ with rheumatological conditions. She has over 5 years of experience as a FNP, and more than 20 years as a registered nurse. All of this experience has enabled Andrea to follow her passion of managing patients with chronic rheumatological conditions. 

Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from India and then went on to earn her Master of Science in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Texas Woman’s University in Houston.  She can speak up to 5 languages, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Kannada. 

She has called Texas her home for the past 21 years, most of which in the West Houston Area. Andrea is more than just a Nurse Practitioner, she is a loving wife, and mother. In her past time, she enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, tasting new foods, and caring for her family.

Dr. Farheen earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She then received her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. For 8 years, I have worked primarily in Internal Medicine settings and am involved in the entire continuum of care of patients. She is a former athletic trainer who worked at Alief Hastings High School and Rice University. After earning her doctorate from the University of Houston she began working at NASA treating astronauts after injuries or spaceflight to the International Space Station (ISS). In 2016, she was awarded a 5-year, million dollar grant to study the time course of muscle atrophy during ISS missions.
