Eva received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List. After college, she spent her first postgraduate year working in the Emergency department and volunteering at rural clinics in Mexico and Peru. Eva then attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. She is bilingual and motivated to help the Corpus Christi community in their skin needs. Eva’s interest in helping the community and passion for overall skin care is what drove her to pursue a field in dermatology; her interest was further motivated during her clinical rotations. Prior to her arrival at Heights Dermatology, Eva specialized in Internal Medicine in Mcallen, Texas. Eva received personal training in dermatology from Dr. Alpesh Desai, DO, and Dr. Tejas Desai, DO. She practices in the areas of general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. Elizabeth Finsness, or “Liza”, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Dallas, TX.

She graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She competed on UGA’s NCAA Equestrian team where she was named All-American four years, obtaining a National Championship and two SEC Championship titles. She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky. Liza began her dermatology career in south Florida where she practiced general and surgical dermatology for 2 years before moving to Texas. She has since earned the title of Diplomate Fellow as a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Being a native Floridian, Liza recognizes the importance of skin care and prevention of sun-related ailments. She is passionate about patient education and preventative medicine. Francis Dang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Lake Jackson. She joined the team in 2020.  

Francis graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences in Austin, Texas. She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she completed a dietetic internship in the Texas Medical Center and earned a Master in Public Health. Her master’s has a special focus on health promotion and behavioral sciences. 

She later returned to her hometown of Dallas, where she worked for six years as a registered dietitian for the UT Southwestern Solid Organ Transplant Program. During that time, her passion and interest for medicine grew, and she decided to pursue a new career as a physician assistant. In 2019, she completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Radford University in Roanoke, Virginia.

During her time as a registered dietitian, Francis cared for patients with a variety of medical conditions and learned the importance of patient-centered and preventative healthcare, all based on evidence-based medicine. She carried these values with her throughout her medical training and continues to uphold them as a physician assistant. Her interest and passion for dermatology came after experiencing the inner workings of a dermatology clinic during her clinical rotations. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

In her free time, Francis enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and Yorkie pup, Leo. She enjoys cooking, relaxing at home, and trying new restaurants with her husband. She is looking forward to helping patients feel healthy and comfortable in their own skin. 

Hammad Zaidi, MD, is an experienced family medicine physician at A&U Family Medicine in Sugar Land, Texas. In 2008, I graduated with honors, from the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program from the University of Texas Medical Branch. While working in various intensive care units, I've completed my Master of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Family Practice. I am currently pursuing the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center. For 8 years, I have worked primarily in Internal Medicine settings and am involved in the entire continuum of care of patients. I am an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners; Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Houston Area of Nurse Practitioners.

Mitzi Laughlin, PhD joined Houston Methodist in 2022 and made an immediate impact in Orthopedic research. She is a former athletic trainer who worked at Alief Hastings High School and Rice University. After earning her doctorate from the University of Houston she began working at NASA treating astronauts after injuries or spaceflight to the International Space Station (ISS). In 2016, she was awarded a 5-year, million dollar grant to study the time course of muscle atrophy during ISS missions. Currently, the focus of her research includes quantifying patient outcomes following orthopedic surgery and identifying factors that determine individual variations in return to sports and training.

Dr Wells continued to provide Family Medical Care for 22 years, before transitioning into the Urgent Care field of medicine.

Dr. Wells’ awards are numerous and extensive, including: the Richard D Steed Scholar Award, the All-Academic Award, the Associated Press Honorable-Mention, & Phi Beta Kappa. Joseph Goin, MD, is a general practice physician, board-certified in pediatrics and family medicine. He treats patients at Calvary Family Medicine in Humble, Texas. 

For the last 16 years, Dr. Goin has served as the clinic’s medical director, providing strong leadership to the qualified and caring team of medical professionals in all primary care areas, including pediatrics, family medicine, nutritional counseling, obstetrics, and gynecology.
