Dr Ahmad Farooq is a Gastroenterologist in Houston, Texas. He did his post-doctoral research fellowship at Yale University. He finished internal medicine training at SUNY-CHS Buffalo, where he served as chief resident. He did his gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Duke University; followed by NIH T32 fellowship at Duke University. He has numerous publications published in leading journals such as Gastroenterology and American Journal of Physiology.
Dr Farooq is board certified in internal medicine and board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr Farooq believes in providing personalized care tailored to individual personal needs. His practice philosophy centers on a good physician and patient relationship which is vital to improving long-term quality outcomes and care.

After residency, Dr. Sachdeva served on the medical faculty at New York Medical College before relocating to Chapel Hill. He completed his training with a fellowship in gastroenterology from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Sachdeva is board-certified in both gastroenterology and hepatology.
He joined the practice right after graduating from UNC. The majority of his practice is concentrated in the North Raleigh and Wake Forest area. Some of his clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, high-risk colo-rectal cancer, and hepatology. He presently serves as the Director of Endoscopy at Wake Endoscopy Center.

Dr. Christopher Schwarz is a Michigan native. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit with his medical degree. He completed his internal medicine residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago before relocating to the Southeast to do his fellowship in gastroenterology at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Schwarz is board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.
He joined the group in 1998. Some of his clinical interest include biliary and pancreatic diseases, therapeutic endoscopy, and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Schwarz has been involved with fundraising for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and the Cancer Hospital at Rex Healthcare.
He lives in North Raleigh with his wife and has four children. He enjoys traveling and water sports with his family, foreign travel, as well as drawing and sculpture. Dr. Schwarz is also proficient in Spanish. He and his family attend Open Door Baptist Church.
