Dr. Sachin Kunde, MD, MPH (Dr. K), is a board-certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist who has been providing compassionate care to children and young adults (ages 0–21) across North Carolina since 2014. With his extensive expertise in pediatric gastrointestinal health, Dr. K joined the Raleigh Medical Group and Wake Endoscopy in 2025 to establish the RMG Pediatric Gastroenterology service.
Dr. K completed his Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, and his Pediatric Residency at the Detroit Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mumbai, India, and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. K began his career in Michigan, working at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and serving as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Michigan State University. During his tenure, he was actively involved in research and conducted clinical trials focused on children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Notably, he led the first Phase 1 clinical trial exploring fecal transplant as a treatment for pediatric ulcerative colitis. In 2014, he moved to North Carolina to establish the Pediatric Gastroenterology program at WakeMed Hospital, where he served as the Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology. In 2018, he launched and managed his private practice, Wake Pediatric Gastroenterology.
Dr. K brings broad expertise in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a special focus on general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), gastrointestinal inflammation caused by food allergies, and endoscopic procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. K enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, exploring the beauty and activities North Carolina has to offer.
Ashish Shah, MD, is a skilled gastroenterologist and hepatologist. He brings his vast experience to the team at Wake Endoscopy, serving patients throughout Raleigh, Cary, Clayton, Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
Dr. Shah graduated from Cornell University.
He received his medical degree from Upstate Medical University - Syracuse, New York, where he met his physician-wife.
He attended Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for a residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Subsequently, Dr. Shah owned and ran a private gastroenterology practice for over a decade. He also served as a board member on the Delaware Board of Licensure and Discipline.
He and his family relocated to the Triangle to become Medical Director of a large Gastroenterology group in Raleigh/Cary.
He is the current Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at WakeMed Cary Hospital and Chair of Peer Review-Cary. He is a board member of WakeMed Raleigh Hospital Peer Review.
He is board-certified in Gastroenterology and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Shah has broad expertise in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His expertise includes treatment of esophageal, colon and liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding/anemia, colon cancer screening, GERD and Barrett's, inflammatory bowel disease and more.

Dr Dwivedi completed his medical school at The Brody School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital, and was selected as a Chief Resident. Following his chief residency, he completed gastroenterology fellowship at Virginia Tech-Carilion Clinic.
His medical interests include general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel diseases, esophageal motility disorders. In his spare time, he is passionate about playing soccer and watching his favorite team, Arsenal. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, and two daughters.

Board-certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Sanjay Jagannath, MD, AGAF, FASGE, brings a wealth of experience to the team at Wake Endoscopy. He sees patients throughout Raleigh, Cary, Clayton, and Wilson, North Carolina.
Growing up in Maryland, Dr. Jag graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his residency training at The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Returning to Baltimore, he completed both his Gastroenterology Fellowship and Interventional Endoscopy Fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and joined the clinical and teaching faculty. He specializes in complex endoscopic procedures to aid in the management of patients with benign and malignant GI conditions.
Dr. Jagannath was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins, was the Director of the Advanced Endoscopy Program, and authored numerous research and academic publications. He lectured both in the United States and internationally. He founded the Johns Hopkins Pancreatitis Center and joined the team at Wake Endoscopy after serving as the Director of the Pancreas Center at Mercy Medical Center.

Dr. Vadlamudi completed Internal Medicine residency from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee. He received a Master’s in Public Health (Health Administration) from East Tennessee State University. He worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as Research Chair of Hospital Medicine and Assistant Professor of Medicine. He was honored with “Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP)”. He completed a Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate, Syracuse, New York. He was awarded “The Best Fellow” during his fellowship. He finished his Advanced Interventional Endoscopy (ERCP/EUS) Fellowship at Carilion Clinic, Roanoke, Virginia.
He strives to provide the best care possible to his patients which is comprehensive, evidence based, and state-of-art with involvement of the patient and family. His goal is to help patients and families understand the disease process and thus help them to have the most effective and comprehensive treatment plan.

He Joined the Raleigh Medical Group Gastroenterology, Wake Endoscopy, and Wilson Digestive Diseases Center in 2019.
He specializes in advanced interventional endoscopic procedures like endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Spyglass cholangioscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) with fine needle aspiration, and pancreatic cyst drainage with stent placement. He performed the first pancreatic cyst drainage (cystogastrostomy) with stent placement at WakeMed Raleigh and WakeMed Cary.
