Dr. Zmily earned his medical degree at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. He later moved to Detroit, Michigan to complete his internship at the Detroit Medical Center of Wayne State University. Looking to further his knowledge and skills to help others, he completed a cardiology fellowship and interventional cardiology training at Detroit Medical Center.

As a skilled Cardiologist, he assists many patients dealing with a wide variety of cardiovascular issues. Ahmed Rashed, MD, is an interventional cardiologist at Premier Cardiovascular Consultants. Currently, he will be providing patient care at our Troy, Michigan. His clinical specialties include coronary artery disease, heart attack care, heart valve disease, heart failure, arrhythmia, treatment of pulmonary embolism and peripheral vascular disease.

He is board-certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography as well as Vascular Interpretation. A graduate of Ain Shams University College of Medicine, Dr. Rashed completed a residency in Cardiovascular Medicine at Dar Al Fouad Hospital and earned a Master of Science degree from Ain Shams University.

He then completed an internal medicine residency at Detroit Medical Center / Wayne State University followed by specialty and subspecialty fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University. Dr. Rashed is the author and co-author of a number of research articles in leading medical journals.

His research interests include ischemic preconditioning and the role of mechanical circulatory support in shock and myocardial infarction. Dr. Rashed has been a reviewer for several medical journals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Rashed enjoys spending time with his three children, biking, soccer and traveling.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.

She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University, completing her graduate studies in 2023. Her professional background includes extensive crisis response experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, along with specialized work addressing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Samantha believes healing begins in safe, nonjudgmental spaces where individuals can explore their experiences and emotions with authenticity. She brings a calm, grounding presence to her work, helping adolescents build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and regain a sense of control in their lives.

Outside of her clinical work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. In her free time, she also enjoys discovering and trying new recipes.
