Dr. Liederbach graduated magna cum laude from the University of Akron in Ohio. He received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. Upon graduating, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Liederbach is married to his wife, Linda, who is the patient membership coordinator and office manager at Wilmington Adult Medicine. They have three children, Kayleigh, Kai, and Alec; and one grandchild, Evelyn. Their favorite pastimes include biking, playing tennis, going to the beach, and spending time with their family.
As a physician, Dr. Liederbach is committed to providing a high level of medical care to his patients. By offering patients a smaller, much more personalized setting through direct primary care, Dr. Liederbach provides the level of care and service he believes every patient deserves. This means developing a close relationship and getting to know each patient in a way that can’t be developed through a rushed, brief appointment. James Manning, MD, is an experienced physician at Hampstead Internal Medicine in Hampstead, North Carolina. He grew up nearby in Beulaville, NC, where he worked in a local pharmacy during high school. In medical school he met his wife, Tina, a Wilmington native. After graduating from medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Manning completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Dr. Manning then moved back to eastern NC with Tina and his young children - Sophia, James, and Sydney.
Dr. Manning worked several years in Washington NC and was elected Chief of Staff at ECU Beaufort hospital. From there, he began teaching through the Department of Internal Medicine at ECU. His focus areas include medicines and their side effects and interactions with other drugs. He truly believes the fewer medicines a person needs, the better. He also taught communication skills to young doctors helping them speak in real and understandable language with patients. His proudest work has been taking care of the people of eastern North Carolina, and teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Manning set up and ran medicine programs in multiple hospitals including ECU Beaufort, ECU Medical Center, Lenoir hospital, and Chowan hospital. After working in multiple hospitals and ICUs during the Covid epidemic, Dr. Manning realized it was time to began his life long goal of opening his own primary care practice.
His true passion is his family. He also enjoys fishing, playing guitar, coaching youth basketball, and trying to grow tomatoes.

Dr. Umar Bowers is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and the Medical Director of Dawson Med. Known for his compassionate, relationship-centered approach to care, Dr. Bowers is committed to helping patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their health journey.
Originally from Virginia, Dr. Bowers earned his undergraduate degree from Longwood University before completing his medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Throughout his training, Dr. Bowers developed a strong foundation in evidence-based care with a deep appreciation for treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis.
