Earlier in her career, Dr. Gupta established a robust foundation as the Medical Director of the DBS Program at Hackensack University Medical Center, a program that she built and grew to be one of the foremost in the nation. She then went on to become Director of the Movement Disorders Outreach Program and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Her academic endeavors are exemplary, having authored numerous publications and shared her insights at national and international congresses. She is the co-author of the bestselling book "Parkinson's Disease for the Hospitalist." Dr. Margarita Mikhaylova is a board-certified neurologist specializing in clinical neurophysiology, with board-certification in epilepsy. She earned dual B.A and M.A degrees in Biology with Specialization in Biotechnology at the Hunter-Macaulay Honors College. After obtaining her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine-NYIT, she completed a medical internship at Mt. Sinai Queens Hospital Center and subsequently trained in neurology at the Northwell North Shore-LIJ University Hospital where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She continued on at North Shore Hospital for advanced fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with a focus on electroencephalography (EEG) and epilepsy.
Throughout her training, Dr. Mikhaylova has been passionate about teaching. She has presented posters at the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting and has been invited to teach neurosciences at the Tel-Aviv University-Sackler School of Medicine.

Dr. Osher Rechester completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
After completing his undergraduate degree, he did research at Harvard (Massachusetts General Hospital), where he worked in the laboratory of Shaw Warren, M.D., who directed a research lab which studied mediators of sepsis and inflammation.
He subsequently received his M.D. after completing medical school at NYMC School of Medicine in Westchester County, New York.
