After finishing his undergrad, Dr. Schwabenbauer was commissioned into the United States Marines Corps. He spent time in both Iraq and Afghanistan serving as an Infantry Officer. He went on to graduate from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, in Lewisburg, West Virginia.
Dr. Schwabenbauer attended residency at Las Cruces, New Mexico. While in residency he served as chief resident, worked in all areas of the hospital at the Mountainview Regional Medical Center, and completed residency training in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONM). While in residency he also served as an adjunct professor for the ONM department at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.
