I went into medicine in order to become an obstetrician and gynecologist. I fell in love with the obstetrical part of women’s care because of the involvement in the miracle of birth. In my opinion, there is no happier part of medicine. Olga Hawkins, DO grew up in Atlanta, GA and is excited to return home to join OB-GYN Associates of Marietta.

Dr. Hawkins graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Minor in Spanish from the University of Georgia in Athens. She earned her Master of Science in Preclinical Sciences degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon. She then completed her medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwannee. Dr. Hawkins moved to Orlando, Florida to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Central Florida. While in residency, Dr. Hawkins servedas the academic chief resident, was awarded the AAGL Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and was recognized as a CREOG Scholar for demonstrating excellence in medical knowledge.

Dr. Hawkins is dedicated to providing compassionate patient-centered care to all her patients. She has developed a passion for minimally invasive/robotic gynecologic surgery and obtained her certifications in Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery and Da Vinci Robotic Surgery. Serena Pascal, MSN, WHNP-BC brings over 15 years of healthcare experience, including 7 years as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in high-risk obstetrics and comprehensive gynecologic care. Serena earned her Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Physical Therapy from Howard University before completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Concordia College in New York. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 2019.

Niambi Smith DNP, WHNP-BC is a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner with a passion for enhancing the health and well-being of her community. Niambi received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Howard University and after working in women’s services across NYC, the D.C. area, and Atlanta, Niambi obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Emory University with a specialization in women’s health. Niambi’s doctoral research focused on improving patient education materials about postpartum depression.  She is an expert in women's health.

Always interested in preventive medicine, she published her research on cervical cancer screening in Bali, Indonesia and has been to Nepal to train birth attendants to manage pregnancy complications.  She received the Caring for Congo Award from the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation for gynecologic surgery performed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  Dr. Schapiro was the U.S. leader for Projet Myome and has been on three missions to the DRC helping women with fibroids and training local doctors.

Nathan Mordel, MD, is a board-certified gynecological surgeon at Atlanta Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He specializes in advanced robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal pelvic surgery, including for fibroids, endometriosis, heavy and/or painful menstrual periods, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence. 

Dr. Mordel received his medical training at Hadassah Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, graduating with a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After coming to the United States, he completed a residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics and a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Dr. Mordel has been practicing in Tifton, Georgia, since July of 1998. In 2002, he came back to Atlanta, started AMIGS, and joined the Piedmont Hospital staff. Dr. Jocelyn Slaughter, MD is a board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist who founded The Healthy Woman -a multi-specialty women's healthcare practice- in 2016. Dr. Slaughter started the practice with a focus on providing safe, comfortable and innovative healthcare for women, while promoting entrepreneurship for Physicians.
