With over two decades of experience, Dr. Betty Nyein is known for her diagnostic expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and compassionate, patient-centered approach to women's healthcare.

Dr. Betty Nyein is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist at Bayard Street Obstetrics & Gynecology, where she provides comprehensive care for women through every stage of life. She is recognized for her thoughtful clinical judgment, precision in diagnosis, and ability to manage both routine and complex gynecologic and obstetric conditions with confidence and compassion.

Dr. Nyein earned her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) before receiving her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital, where she developed advanced expertise in comprehensive women's healthcare.

She has a particular interest in advanced gynecologic and obstetric ultrasound, prenatal care, and minimally invasive office procedures. Dr. Bagaria is a highly skilled gynecologic surgeon dedicated to alleviating the pain and suffering caused by endometriosis and pelvic pain. With a compassionate approach and extensive training, she provides personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs. After completing her OBGYN residencies, she further honed her expertise through a prestigious fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the renowned Mayo Clinic Arizona. Here, she trained under world-renowned gynecological surgeons, gaining valuable experience in various subspecialties, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology.

Dr. Kameelah Phillips is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, wife, mother, and lifelong women’s health advocate. Since high school, she has been involved in local, national, and international organizations aimed at advancing women’s health care issues through advocacy and direct patient care. Dr. Phillips graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology with an emphasis in Women’s Health and Human Sexuality. After graduation, she worked at the San Francisco Department of Public Health in the AIDS office as a Research Assistant on HIV vaccine studies. She relocated to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.​ During medical school, she received numerous community service awards. She was privileged to travel to Ghana, Cuba, and Tanzania on health missions during this time. Upon completion of medical school, she attended a competitive OB/GYN residency at the New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. Yitzhack Asulin, MD is a pioneer and leader in minimally invasive surgical techniques and one of the world's most experienced gynecologic robotic surgeons. He is among the first surgeons in the U.S. to adopt robotic surgical technology nearly two decades ago and has successfully completed several thousand robotic gynecological cases.He has taught extensively in the area of minimally invasive surgery and trained a large number of surgeons using robotic surgery technology. 

He is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  After graduating from Saint George's University School of Medicine, Dr. Asulin completed an OB/GYN residency from Stamford Hospital / Columbia University college of physicians and surgeons in Stamford, Connecticut.  

Dedicating his entire career to the advancement of robotic and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Asulin led and directed multiple MIS and robotic surgery programs in NJ for the past 20 years. He served as the chairman of the department of ObGyn at both Hudson Regional Hospital, and HUMC at Pascack Valley Hospital. He also served as Chief Surgical Officer as well as the first program director of the ObGyn residency program at Saint Mary Hospital in Passaic NJ. 

Currently the chief of the Institute for Robotic Surgery at Hudson Regional University Hospital as well as the director of GYN Robotic Surgery at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ, Dr Asulin also serves as the head of the Center of Endometriosis medicine.

Dr. Asulin specializes in advanced robotic surgical procedures. Dr. Yvonne Noel is a board-certified OB/GYN. She received her doctorate degree in medicine from Chicago Medical School and her undergraduate degree from William Smith College in Geneva, New York. Dr. Noel completed her internship and residency in OB/GYN at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn-Kings County Medical Center. She also completed a Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. Dr. Noel has previously held positions such as Clinical Assistant Instructor and Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cornell University and SUNY Health Science Center. Dr. Noel holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Education and Conservation and has focused on Health and Climate Change.

Dr. Katarzyna Perlman received her medical degree from Semmelweis University School of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary, and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Perlman completed her residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She has received the Laparoscopy and Endoscopy Award from the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists as well as the Finalist Award from the Brooklyn Gynecological Society. Dr. Perlman is currently the Director of Urodynamics at Boro Park OB/GYN. She is particularly qualified in Urodynamics and in performing Essures and Hystrosonograms. Dr. Perlman is fluent in Polish, Swedish, and Hungarian. She enjoys theatre, traveling and spending time with her family.

Jen Wilen saw her first birth as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa nearly 20 years ago and knew then that she wanted to become a midwife. After the Peace Corps, Jen got her Masters in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She then spent a decade working in global health and women's rights, spending much of that time overseas. She later obtained both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Masters in Midwifery from Columbia University. Prior to joining Boro Park, Jen worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn. Jen speaks both Spanish and French and loves caring for women and babies from all of the wonderfully diverse communities that call Brooklyn their home.

Alina Fuchs MD MBS BS has obstetrics and gynecology and medicine in her genes. Her aunt Dr. Smekuna was the delivering OB/Gyn with her birth. Her uncle Dr. M Fuks and Dr. A. Fuks are both practicing physicians, her mother Dr. M Fuchs is a dentist. And her husband Dr. Alexeev is a current pain management fellow. 

She received bachelor of science from Rutgers University. Master’s degree of biomedical sciences at UMDNJ. Medical degree from American University of Antigua, College of Medicine. She completed her internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Nassau University Medical Center and her residency training at Maimonides Medical Center where she served as a chief resident. 

Dr. Fuchs offers a full spectrum of women’s health services, including pap tests, contraception counseling, STD testing, LEEP, and sterilization. After graduating she has been practicing in central New Jersey where she provides care to women in all stages of their life; from family planning to menopause. She is fluent in Russian. 

When she is not with patients, Dr. Fuchs loves spending times with her family. Her husband and son.

Dr. Kathleen Zafra is an experienced OB/GYN and received her medical degree with the Global Scholars Program of Saint George’s University. Dr. Zafra completed her OB/GYN residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where she was honored with the Resident Achievement Award and the Excellence in Teaching Award in recognition for both her outstanding patient care and her commitment to medical student education. Dr. Zafra obtained her Bachelor’s in Biology and Public Health at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she performed research that was published in the Journal of Biology and Reproduction.

Dr. Elaine Sklarhas completed 28 years with Boro Park and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. Dr. Sklar was appointed Chief Resident while completing her residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Sklar is professionally affiliated with the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association, and is a Junior Fellow of the American Board of OB/GYN. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three adorable sons.

Edan Yodfat, MD is a board-certified and fellow-trained physician in obstetrics and gynecology at Boro Park OB/GYN in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Yodfat provides comprehensive women’s services and is highly trained in complex gynecological procedures like Essure® permanent birth control, assisting vaginal births following a C-section (VBAC), and performing hysterectomies and other laparoscopic surgeries.

Dr. Shira Alter received her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Ramat Gan, Israel. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Alter previously was a faculty physician at Sheba Medical Center and a regional health specialist at Maccabi Health Center in Israel. Dr. Alter is particularly skilled in treating women with high-risk pregnancies and specializes in providing care for diabetic patients. In addition to her extensive medical background, Dr. Alter has a Masters of Science degree in Psychological Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Alter is fluent in Hebrew.

Dr. Vivian E. Roston is an experienced and respected Ob/gyn with over 35 years of medical and academic experience. Vivian Edith Roston, MD born and raised in Queens NY, is a true New Yorker. Dr. Roston received her BA from John Hopkins University in June of 1984 then came back to NY to earn her MD at University of Rochester’s School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1991. After graduating, she completed her residency program at the Harlem Hospital in 1993. After her residency, Dr. Roston has worked as a physician in several hospitals and clinics including New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University, AdvantageCare Physicians, St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Locum Tenens where she made an incredible impact as a physician and an educator. During these experiences, Dr. Roston provided direct patient care in both hospital and outpatient settings and trained and instructed medical students and residents in both academic and medical settings.
