Shira Plonka is a board certified Genetic Counselor at ROSH Maternal Fetal Medicine. Additionally, she is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC); she earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. Prior to receiving her master’s, Shira received an honors degree in psychology and social work from University of Waterloo. Roshan, MD, FACOG, FACS, specializes in maternal-fetal medicine, demonstrating an expertise in high-risk pregnancies that’s well known in New York City and beyond, as women needing chorionic villus sampling are referred to him from across the country. Dr. John Migotsky is a Board-certified OB/GYN, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He comes to ROSH Maternal-Fetal medicine with 16 years of experience. After graduating from Brown University with a degree in neuroscience, Dr. Migotsky conducted research in maternal/child health and perinatal epidemiology with the Rhode Island Department of Health. He received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Then he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. Prior to his work with ROSH, he worked in private practice in Westchester, NY and was affiliated with Greenwich Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital.
