Dr. Smith is native of New York City and attended New York Medical College. Aimee Melton grew up in Littleton, going to Columbine High School and then attended college at CSU and CU. She studied Molecular Biology and then nursing and midwifery. She has worked with various populations in the front range from Thornton to Castlerock. She lives in Denver with her husband and three kids and they enjoy riding horses and all things Disney! Aimee believes in the collaborative relationship between midwives and women and enjoys empowering women to participate in their health care decisions. She is supportive of all versions of families, and is proud to have participated as a gestational carrier. Aimee is experienced in assisting other gestational carriers and families navigate this complicated process.

Aimee is also skilled in working with patients with substance use disorder in need of medication assisted therapy. She believes in the importance of creating a safe therapeutic space where patients feel safe and heard.

Dr. Randy Fink completed his Obstetrics & Gynecology training at Brown University/Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, Medical School at the Medical College of Virginia, and graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2022 Dr. Fink opened the Cheyenne Mountain Gynecology practice, where the very best of medicine and gynecological care is practiced. Dr. Leslie Scariano believes it is first and foremost a privilege to provide care to women in all stages of their lives and promises to be each patient’s healthcare advocate. Dedicated to creating a good patient-physician relationship that promotes honesty and trust, she strives to provide women with comprehensive options, while empowering them to make the best decision about their care. Dr. Scariano strives to make every visit a positive experience with answers, plans, empathy and follow up. She wants each patient encounter, whether obstetrical or gynecological, to be comfortable, engaging and feel like their visiting a trusted family member. She considers all of her patients part of the Aspire for Women family, and like family, she considers no question "too small" and believes every question should be answered with honesty and sincerity.

Before Aspire for Women, Dr. Scariano grew up in Montana and later attended Creighton University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in OB-GYN at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, where she met her husband Larry. She then practiced in Alton, Illinois for 10 years before relocating with her family to Englewood, Colorado for the past 15 years. She and her husband have been happily married for 25 years with two now grown children, and in her free time she loves spending time with her family and scrapbooking their memories together. She also enjoys hiking, gardening and helping with her husband’s backyard vineyard! Dr. Scariano welcomes her patients to share their travels and passions, both local and abroad!

Lauren is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner, serving patients at Aspire for Women Obstetrics and Gynecology, at their Englewood, CO location. She is originally from Tennessee and earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2001. After gaining valuable experience working as an RN in Women & Infant Services (Labor and Delivery, Post-partum and Newborn Nursery), she completed her Master of Science in nursing at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2005. Lauren specializes in women’s health and is passionate about teaching and advocating for women of all ages. She loves connecting with women of all ages and educating them about various aspects of women's health.

Lauren is experienced in providing both obstetric and gynecologic care. She performs physical examinations, routine and high risk obstetrical care, wellness counseling, contraceptive services, STD screening and follow-up, evaluation and treatment of various women’s health conditions, in-office procedures such as intrauterine device placement, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, as well as screening and referral for other health conditions.

Lauren, her husband, and their three daughters moved from St Louis, Missouri to Denver in 2023.  She enjoys spending time with her family and their Australian Labradoodle. Lauren also keeps busy volunteering, reading, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.

After nearly 20 years at Swedish, Dr. Andrew Ross was thrilled to move his practice a few doors down to Cherry Hills Midwifery and OB/GYN in 2020.

Dr. Ross is native of New York City with a University of Michigan degree in Biological Anthropology, a brief career in sports marketing, an MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, and residency in Ob/Gyn at Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia, and has practiced at Swedish since graduation.

He is most proud of his abilities to communicate with his patients in a way that allows them to feel that their desires and concerns are an integral part of their treatment plans. His goal is complete and ethical communication so that patients feel that all their options have been made available to them, and they have been empowered to choose the plan of care that is right for them.

With a Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology Dr. Ross is has been at the forefront of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, doing laparoscopic hysterectomies since the 1990s, and is certified in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery by the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. He is the first gynecologist in the state of Colorado to have done a single incision laparoscopic hysterectomy, is skilled with the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System, and has proctored new da Vinci® gynecologic surgeons at Swedish Medical Center, as well as other hospitals locally and nationally. His professional surgical goal is to never do an abdominal hysterectomy.

Any of the veteran L+D nurses on at Swedish can attest to his ability as a birth attendant, encompassing the full set of skills to ensure the safety of mother and baby, including operative delivery to avoid C-section, as well as the communication skills to allow him to make families feel invested in and comfortable with their care. The GYN staff will speak to his efficiency and dexterity as well as an even temperament in the OR.

Personally, Dr. Ross enjoys all of the outdoor activities Colorado offers. He is an avid mountain and road cyclist and enjoys snowboarding when the opportunity arises. He enjoys cooking for his wife and son, particularly with vegetables he grows in his own garden. Dr. Ross has worked with local organizations committed to advancing the art and science of medicine, and access to reproductive healthcare.

Kenton Talbot Bruice, MD is a board certified OB/GYN who devotes 100% of his practice to balancing his patients hormone levels with bioidentical hormones. Dr. Bruice has been working with compounded bioidentical hormones since 1998 and is the leading prescriber of bioidentical hormones in the state of Colorado. He started working with bio-identical hormone replacement therapy in Aspen and then later opened his Denver office in 2004. Dr. Bruice is a member of the North American Menopause Society, Colorado Medical Society, and the Denver Medical Society. He is an international speaker of the benefits and safety of bioidentical hormones. Dr. Bruice earned his medical degree from Tulane University in 1994 after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

About Dr. York

Dr. York earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (formerly the Medical College of Ohio) in 1992, and he successfully completed specialized training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1996. 

He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and maintains annual certification. ​Dr. York holds surgical specialization in pelvic pain disorders, endometriosis, high-risk pregnancies, minimally invasive surgery, and infertility problems. Prior to North Springs Ob/Gyn, Dr. York was an obstetrician and gynecologist working in private practice in South Carolina before he moved to Colorado Springs in 2004. 

Dr. York is a dedicated husband and father of three girls and spends much of his free time involved with their activities. He also enjoys camping and skiing with his family, running, and climbing Colorado 14ers with his girls.

Kacey Combs, WHNP-BC, is a women's health nurse practitioner at North Springs Ob/Gyn in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kacey grew up in western Montana and received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she graduated at the top of her class.

Before becoming a board-certified nurse practitioner, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse for five years. Kacey practiced as a women's health nurse practitioner in Hawaii before settling in Colorado in 2022 with her family.

Kacey believes in empowering women of all ages by taking time to teach them about their bodies, reproductive health, and the role they have in their own healthcare.

In her free time, Kacey enjoys traveling, paddleboarding, hiking, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Virginia Leonard was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2010 where she worked as an RN and lived while attending graduate school in Denver. In October of 2017 she joined Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

Virginia received her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 2008. She received her Master of Nursing from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2017. Her background is primarily in women’s health and includes: labor and delivery, newborn nursery, post-partum care, prenatal care, and post-operative gynecologic surgical care. She loves working with women throughout their lifespan and thrives on making meaningful, trusting, and lasting relationships with her patients.

Virginia enjoys traveling as much as possible and heading home to Alaska whenever she can. With the recent addition to their family of their first child, she and her husband have begun exploring the country through road trips, returning home to their three rambunctious cats.
