About Dr. York
Dr. York earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (formerly the Medical College of Ohio) in 1992, and he successfully completed specialized training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1996.
He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and maintains annual certification. Dr. York holds surgical specialization in pelvic pain disorders, endometriosis, high-risk pregnancies, minimally invasive surgery, and infertility problems. Prior to North Springs Ob/Gyn, Dr. York was an obstetrician and gynecologist working in private practice in South Carolina before he moved to Colorado Springs in 2004.
Dr. York is a dedicated husband and father of three girls and spends much of his free time involved with their activities. He also enjoys camping and skiing with his family, running, and climbing Colorado 14ers with his girls.

Dr. York is wonderful! He takes time to listen and hear your concerns. He makes you feel comfortable and is very honest and transparent about concerns or issues. He is the most trusted doctor for OB services. I would not go to anyone else.
I wanna say that my experience yesterday with Dr. York was not a pleasant one. I waited on Dr. York roughly 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was OK with that, but it appeared to me that something must have bothered him prior to entering into my room. When we begin our conversation, every question I asked was met with a rebuttal. I begin to explain to him my previous experience with HRT. I asked him questions about Weight Loss and if hormone diminishing would cause a problem with weight gain. He said no and the resolution to the issues I was experienced was just due begin a1200 cal diet daily. I ask some questions about an ultrasound for my breast exam instead of a mammogram. His response to Me was very derogatory. I decided to just wait until next year to get the mammogram. I didn’t want any additional services from him. I asked him maybe about six questions and every question that I ask was met with a defense. I felt like his bedside manner was very poor. He had a new nurse practitioner that was being trained by him at the present time. I could see the expression on her face and she could see that the visit wasn’t going well. She stood by & just smiled. I hope her Experience will be better than mine. If anyone knows of another gynecologist in Colorado Springs, please let me know. I waited six months for this appointment because my gynecologist retired. He was absolutely amazing and I wish he was still practicing. The only good thing that came out of my visit yesterday is that I was prescribed my testosterone once again. I had to wait for this visit in order to get a new prescription. Hopefully this medication helps me until I’m able to find a new doctor. He wasn’t nice at all. Sign sincerely disappointed.

Can’t even explain how amazing Dr. York is…. was very nervous for my IUD and he did it in like 2 minutes and I didn’t even realize he had put it in… Had an amazing experience and am so glad that is over!

Dr. York is the ONLY provider I have that I truly trust! He listens, asks questions, and treats me with dignity & respect. Dr. York is interested in my total health, not just his specialty. He also treated my prolapse a year ago and I have had no issues and healed well. Women of a “certain age” tend to dismiss their gyn health after menopause. I recommend Dr. York for women of all ages.

Dr York listened to my concerns and was sensitive to my problem. Although we have not determined the cause of my issue, I felt that he was knowledgeable and had good suspicions of what the problem could be. He Recommended tests and possible solutions.
