Mary Khine, MD, FACOG, is a perinatologist at Desert Perinatal Associates in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Dr. Khine is one of the newest members to join the DPA family, and she is looking forward to building new relationships with families in the community. 

Dr. Khine is originally from New Jersey but she relocated to Nevada. She has decades of experience in providing care to families of all backgrounds and holds board certifications in maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology.

For her medical education, she attended Jefferson Medical College. Following her studies, she went on to complete her obstetrics residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she was awarded a fellowship with Yale University.  

While Dr. Khine was residing in New Jersey, she worked for a large hospital that specialized in maternal-fetal medicine for many years. During her time there, she also served on several committees and was the medical director of ultrasound services. 

At Desert Perinatal Associates, Dr. Khine takes great pride in caring for her patients and enjoys being a part of a very special time in a woman’s life. Paul T. Wilkes, MD, FACOG, offers expert perinatal care to women in the communities of Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada, at Desert Perinatal Associates. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Pepperdine University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he also performed post-graduate work in obstetrics and gynecology. Throughout his education, he received numerous awards and honors for academics and research.

Dr. Wilkes served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nevada and as an Instructor/Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He has been widely published in respected medical journals and regularly lectures nationally on perinatal topics.

Board-certified with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Wilkes also serves his community. He’s on the board of directors for two local foundations and donates his time and medical care to the women of Safe Nest and Shade Tree – local domestic violence shelters. He is the father of three and loves writing, CrossFit, and traveling.

Christina Nguyen, MD, FACOG, is an experienced OB/GYN providing compassionate care to women at WHASN West Valley in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

As a Division 1 collegiate soccer player, Dr. Nguyen was on track to become a professional until recurrent injuries and long hours in rehabilitation caused her to change paths. Her desire to help people live happier, healthier lives eventually led her to medical school. 

While in school, Dr. Nguyen had the unique opportunity to shadow her mother, who was in her OB/GYN residency program. During her first observation, Dr. Nguyen watched her mother provide compassionate coaching through the pushing phase and deliver a healthy baby to a welcoming family. That experience sparked her interest in the OB/GYN specialty. Her decision to officially pursue the field was solidified by the combined benefits of being trained in gynecologic surgery, primary care, and patient continuity.

Fifteen years later, Dr. Nguyen is still passionate about obstetrics and gynecology and considers it a privilege to help patients navigate the complexities of the female life cycle. Her patients value that she spends time with them to understand their health, including physical, mental, and emotional concerns. This allows her to customize a health management plan based on a patient’s unique background, including demographics, social class, sexuality, religious beliefs, education, etc. 

Dr. Nguyen's special interests in the field are minimally invasive surgery, including advanced robotic techniques involving sacrocolpopexy, large uterine fibroid interventions, and complex endometriosis.

The OB/GYN field is ever-evolving, and Dr. Nguyen makes an effort to stay current on recent literature and attend conferences to ensure she’s providing the best care for her patients.

Dr. Nguyen is the recipient of several accolades, including Vegas Inc’s Top Doctors 2022.

In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and her dog. She also enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, pilates, HIT workouts, and traveling.

Rebecca Tyre, MD has been practicing in the Las Vegas and Henderson areas since 1994 after completing her residency training in OB/GYN at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She earned her medical degree in 1990 from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and became board certified in OB/GYN in 1996. Dr. Tyre and her husband have two daughters and she enjoys CrossFit, music, traveling, hiking and reading as well as spending time with her family.

Guy A. Torres earned his medical degree in 1987 from the University of Kansas College of Health Sciences and Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas and completed his residency in OB/GYN at St. Joseph Hospital/ Creighton University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Torres has been practicing in the Las Vegas and Henderson areas since 1991 and founded Green Valley OB/GYN in 1998. He specializes in laporoscopic surgeries. Dr. Torres has four sons and loves being a devoted husband and father. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, rock concerts, and is an outdoor enthusiast.
