Todd Stearns embarked on his journey in the healthcare field after completing his service in the U.S. military. He initially worked in sales within the pharmaceutical industry. Born in Jamaica, Dr. Howard immigrated to the United States at 18. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and his Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
After earning his Ph.D., Dr. Howard completed a postdoctoral fellowship in perinatal epidemiology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He returned to Baltimore, graduating with his Doctor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Dr. Howard completed his medical internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City and his OB/GYN residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in Kansas City, Missouri.
Following his residency training, Dr. Howard joined the United States Air Force (USAF) on active duty. During his academic years, he received numerous teaching awards, including the Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. Following his fellowship training, Dr. Keeler served four years active duty as a Lieutenant Commander at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as the Division Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. After his activity duty was complete, Dr. Keeler was awarded the prestigious Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for distinguishing himself with meritorious service to our country.
Dr. Keeler has a strong interest in clinical research in preterm labor and cervical insufficiency. He has authored seventeen original manuscripts and two book chapters on the topic. He serves the community by supporting the March of Dimes and the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Unforgettables Foundation of Southern Nevada.
He’s married and has extra compassion for his patients, as two of his three daughters were born of high-risk pregnancies. He enjoys golfing, exercising, and enjoying good meals with his friends.
