Paul T. Wilkes, MD, FACOG, offers expert perinatal care to women in the communities of Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada, at Desert Perinatal Associates. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Pepperdine University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he also performed post-graduate work in obstetrics and gynecology. Throughout his education, he received numerous awards and honors for academics and research.
Dr. Wilkes served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nevada and as an Instructor/Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He has been widely published in respected medical journals and regularly lectures nationally on perinatal topics.
Board-certified with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Wilkes also serves his community. He’s on the board of directors for two local foundations and donates his time and medical care to the women of Safe Nest and Shade Tree – local domestic violence shelters. He is the father of three and loves writing, CrossFit, and traveling.

The best doctor he delivered me as a baby and both my daughters
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Wilkes! He is professional, kind and has excellent bedside manner. And the staff at all of his offices are always so pleasant. I recommend him and his practice to everyone I know!

After going through some tough fertility issues, seeing Dr. Wilkes was a breath of fresh air. I felt compassion and cared for and left feeling hopeful.

Dr.Giacobbe made sure that I fully understood a complex medical situation. Answering all of my questions and leaving space to process. I could have left our last meeting with a lot of fear and uncertainty. But left feeling confident and hopeful because of her attention and care.
Dr Wilkes is amazing. I am so happy he is part of my care team this pregnancy. He not only listens to my concerns but tries to figure out a game plan to resolve them. He is very attentive.
Desert Perinatal was hands down the best healthcare experience I have ever had, which says so much given my anxiety about having a high-risk pregnancy. From check-in to check-out, the entire clinic was welcoming and knowledgeable. Andy, our sonographer, was so patient with our shy baby and made us so comfortable. Kristina, our medical assistant was so personable and really seemed to care about us as individuals. And I cannot possibly say enough great things about Dr. Wilkes. I have never met with a doctor who felt so human and authentic. His genuineness was disarming and so, so reassuring. He gave us so much time to ask each and every question we had and it really felt like he wanted to know us on a personal level. I can’t describe the relief and confidence that I have in this clinic to take care of me and my babies. 10/10 recommend.

If you want the most humble, genuine, warm, and gentle human being to be taken care of you… Then Dr. Paul Wilkes will be a godsend for you. My husband and I have been through a few bumps in the road with our pregnancies, and as soon as he walks in the room, the nerve just go away. He is probably some of the last few good Dr.s left in this town who truly come to work, loving what they do and not treating you like just a number. So if you can’t tell by now by my review…Yes, don’t even think about it. You will be in such genuine care.

I’ve been going to dpa for my 2 pregnancies and every time I went to my appointments I felt so welcomed , the environment is amazing and the staff is always so kind , Dr. Wilkes goes above and beyond for his patients, he is the best.
I had an amazing experience with the ultrasound tech and really felt at ease with the whole experience. Since the reason for my visit was due to being a riskier pregnancy both the tech and Dr. Giacobbe reassured me and made me feel so much more confident about my current situation. I can’t wait for my next appointment

Dr. Wilkes is a phenomenal doctor and human being! During my pregnancy he showed such compassion, kindness and love. I had tremendous worries about delivery due to complications from a previous surgery and Dr. Wilkes listened with an empathic ear and worked with me to have a birthing plan that would soothe these fears. To say that he’s a good doctor is an understatement. He’s truly one of a kind! I cried, laughed and was able to be completely vulnerable about my anxieties and never felt rushed or judged. Dr. Wilkes and his staff played a significant role in my having a peaceful and beautiful pregnancy experience. My C-section was flawless and his entire team during delivery was so kind, supportive and professional. There are not enough words to express my gratitude and appreciation! Thank you!
